Episode 225 - The New Season (Now with Batgirl)

Ben, Brad, and Nate sat in a room and talked about movies, okay? They also chat about a bunch of other stuff too, like Funyuns. I don't need to tell you that Ben didn't watch his assigned movie because you can just assume it at this point. But he did watch all of the Vince McMahon docuseries, so that's cool, I guess? Meanwhile, Nate watched The 'Burbs, and Brad watched Little Shop of Horrors from 1986. Plus, it's the spooky season, and The Invisible Man is cuckoo.

We also talk about the trailers for Ballerina (A JOHN WICK STORY!) and Sinners (MICHAEL B. KILLING VAMPIRES!). Let's get jack-o'-lanterned and make some bad decisions!

[00:00:16] Hey everybody, it's another episode of Go Flix Yourself. My name is Ben Connolly. It's with me as always is the

[00:00:23] Chuck Norris to my Jackie Chan

[00:00:26] Brad Roman. Hey, that's me

[00:00:29] That's what Chuck Norris sounds like. I guess and the

[00:00:33] The Bruce Lee to my Jackie Chan Nate Laos. I'm not doing that impression. I

[00:00:40] Was trying to catch you trying to give you cancel there

[00:00:42] Didn't work did not do what I'm trying to say

[00:00:46] Yes, and you're Mexican so you can do it

[00:00:50] Off-air though. Hey, nice me Bruce Lee

[00:00:54] That's my Mexican

[00:01:05] I was actually a little nervous

[00:01:07] Yes, it's me. Okay, that's fair

[00:01:12] But yeah, no, I was just trying to say that if Jackie Chan is awesome Bruce Lee is is the is the match. He's the base

[00:01:18] Thank you. Thank you. I appreciated that. I just didn't want to do you know, and that's that's very fair

[00:01:22] Chuck Norris however is dog shit as far as an actor. I don't know

[00:01:27] I think there's a whole stream of jokes that would prove otherwise

[00:01:30] As a human being sure the butt of the I'm talking about not the butt of the joke

[00:01:35] It's it's proving how strong as an action star

[00:01:39] I'm sorry

[00:01:40] You haven't seen what's named three movies that he's been in that he started not that he was not Bruce Lee movies

[00:01:46] Name three Chuck Norris films for real you're a cinephile sidekicks. Fuck you. That's one fine

[00:01:53] I should have said before 1990, but I didn't

[00:01:56] Just name any of them. He's been in like $100 Hollywood films. Here's the thing. I don't know any go ahead

[00:02:01] Oh, there it is. I don't know. All right for sidekicks done. Yeah dodgeball

[00:02:07] I really should have said

[00:02:08] Because I'm giving you time to think now anyway welcome to the podcast

[00:02:12] I've had a bottle of Jack Daniels and it's 11 o'clock at night almost and I've had a I've had a I've had a long week

[00:02:19] And I am I'm a little tipsy and I thought to myself

[00:02:23] let's record the 10 to 1 and

[00:02:25] That's our Saturday night live and let's cancel go flicks yourself. Wow, that's what I thought to myself because I'm honestly

[00:02:31] I'm a little tipsy well not only recording in my house and I get to do whatever I want

[00:02:34] I'm not driving now and here's the thing too the other reason that he probably was thinking about canceling is because he

[00:02:39] didn't watch his movie

[00:02:41] Again, I had a listen. I we moved into the house that we're moving into the new house and

[00:02:47] It's a new podcast studios coming. Yeah, exactly. It's coming along. We're working on it

[00:02:52] Let me let me let's be clear

[00:02:53] He's done nothing to prepare the new podcast studio

[00:02:56] Also, I've done nothing at the house Ashley has done everything and I honestly and nothing is packed up here

[00:03:00] I yeah, no, I and beyond that. I've been kind of a dick. I'm in a real real ass

[00:03:06] So I'd like to apologize publicly to my girlfriend actually who's done literally everything you should apologize to I'm a bad person

[00:03:12] And I didn't watch to see yeah, to see was I will it's an American classic on that's American tale

[00:03:17] That's five of those was I will legitimately watch

[00:03:21] Tootsie this week. I and on my mother's life

[00:03:23] I will watch it this week and the next design movie. Yes, I watched I will I will I promise you

[00:03:28] Okay, because I'm again not doing anything at the house

[00:03:31] She's gonna do everything you heard here first and it will be good. So anyway

[00:03:35] Go fix yourself a movie podcast where we talk about the latest films we've seen talk about a few trailers

[00:03:40] We assign movies to each other and then so if you respect the person enough you watch it

[00:03:44] I got her on Thursday. It's Sunday night. I just we moved into the new house

[00:03:47] I'd interest for booking this morning. We just established. You didn't move into the new house

[00:03:50] Well, you know, we're moving into there anyway, whatever it doesn't matter Nate. How are you?

[00:03:55] I'm okay

[00:03:57] I was hoping for much better than that

[00:04:00] You know, there's been a lot of clouds lately and I'm feeling it the sad is happening

[00:04:07] I don't know that's for seasonal. Yeah

[00:04:10] Effective disorder. I'm trying to figure out if

[00:04:14] If it's the seasonal effective disorder or I'm clinically depressed

[00:04:20] Hey, that's what why not both

[00:04:23] The good news is this is America you can have both. I know I know and I might you can have whatever

[00:04:29] You like

[00:04:31] You can have whatever you

[00:04:33] Have it your way

[00:04:36] Pick pick your depression. Is it seasonal or always?

[00:04:40] Tune in next week to see if he's still here. I'm gonna go back dark. I got very dark. I'm sorry

[00:04:46] Anyway, hey Brad. Hey

[00:04:49] Is is my seasonal depression gonna go away with the sponsor this week? Oh?

[00:04:54] Well, that's a good question or I'm gonna be very sad

[00:04:56] Bellam asking something

[00:04:58] Yes, you know what? I'm leaving. No, no, this is an episode where I lean in. Yes, Brad

[00:05:02] I didn't like how you didn't go high enough for me on that one

[00:05:07] Yeah, yeah, buddy

[00:05:10] Which favorite what's your favorite chain steakhouse?

[00:05:15] Long long long horn long horn steak house the correct answer is out back steak house long horn

[00:05:22] Nate that I think is my answer to I love me a good outback steak house

[00:05:26] But you know what's funny when I go to outback steak house. I don't get steak. I get the Alice Springs chicken

[00:05:32] Do you you bring that I like steak? No, no, I love steak

[00:05:36] But for whatever reason I have always loved the Alice Springs chicken at outback steak

[00:05:41] I was trying so hard to be good and honestly

[00:05:44] I was trying so hard to be supportive here and like I'm like answer you

[00:05:48] Organically in real. Yeah, and as soon as your fucking dumb mouth

[00:05:53] Starts here's the weird thing about what I go to a steakhouse

[00:05:56] And I don't order the steak and I think about the listener

[00:05:59] Varying their fucking car into a bridge about men and they're trying to end their whole family's life because of your

[00:06:04] Chicken, no, because who gives a fuck?

[00:06:08] Don't order it at steak house first of all the listener does

[00:06:10] But by the way, thank you listener does care because they're thinking you know what Brad's right

[00:06:14] I do enjoy a good chicken from a steakhouse from time to time the Alice Springs chicken. Oh

[00:06:19] Juicy tender chicken by the way

[00:06:20] What you're saying before chicken Alice Springs is that a name?

[00:06:25] Yeah, what is it? It's Australian like locale basically

[00:06:29] Outback is an Australian so it's not a restaurant

[00:06:32] So the Alice Springs chicken has by the way nothing at outback is Australian locale

[00:06:38] has cheese and bacon on it

[00:06:41] onion and

[00:06:42] They bring their delicious honey mustard dressing with it outback steakhouse has the best honey mustard dressing

[00:06:51] It was the jump, but it's dingo. It is

[00:06:54] Incredible Nate's laughing at that one fuck you I got you. I got you. I got you

[00:06:57] I love outback steak house is honey mustard. You know what I love right now is that Nate Laos has his hands

[00:07:02] Behind his head like in a relaxing statement. He's wearing a gray t-shirt and guess what I don't see his penis

[00:07:08] No, well not one pit stain you are drives a bone over there, buddy

[00:07:12] That's gonna sweat like an animal. Yeah, I'm wearing I wear only black shirts now because it's just it's it's

[00:07:18] Voluminous can we talk about this? All right. It's so bad. So are you wearing like pads under?

[00:07:23] Like how do you not I'm not I'm not it's incredible

[00:07:26] I got a lady. I'll wear a gray shirt next week and you're gonna be like what the fuck is wrong with you

[00:07:32] I've started wearing salt as deodorant. What yeah salt as deodorant

[00:07:37] Yeah, there's this thing that the

[00:07:40] Like sea salt. Yeah, it is a sea salt deodorant and it is are you rubbing vinegar and salt chips on here?

[00:07:47] No, it is because it kind of smells like it you I will send it to you

[00:07:52] It is a hundred percent natural deodorant, which I don't typically like there's like hairies and all these kind of things that are like

[00:07:57] Hey, it doesn't have aluminum. You won't get cancer, but you use them. It's like I'll take the cancer instead

[00:08:03] Yeah, cuz I'm sweating my balls off and this is terrible. I mean feel things

[00:08:07] There's this like crystal like salt deodorant. All right now

[00:08:11] It's just how are you not mad about this? I know I'm letting him finish

[00:08:14] I'm trying to be polite. Hey, hey Ben. Do I have any piss things? No, it's him. That's also the thing. He's proving it

[00:08:20] It's so hate this so much. Well if I had honey mustard from outback, I'd prove it too crystal

[00:08:24] I'm just saying I am saying that it seems to work pretty well

[00:08:28] And they are using essential oils for birth control to pastor Nate

[00:08:32] Just say that you believe in crystals because that's exactly

[00:08:35] Kind of I'm like RFK for president

[00:08:38] Oh

[00:08:40] Shazam is logged on the brain worms have got to him

[00:08:43] I'm just saying this crystal deodorant, which I just sent to you guys in our this crystal deodorant

[00:08:47] He sounds like a fucking info

[00:08:50] But wait

[00:08:58] Me who's not you

[00:09:01] Okay, okay. I have no leg

[00:09:03] Don't look at the bag. I have a very sweaty leg to sit on here. Don't look at the bag

[00:09:07] Just reach in and grab it's probably a blooming onion

[00:09:14] I can frigging tell it's a fun. You know, I don't want a fun. You don't look at the bag

[00:09:21] But it's yellow. I know it's a fun

[00:09:23] You just just give one to me. Don't look at the bag. Don't look at the front. No, no, no, no

[00:09:28] You have to I don't have to part of the show

[00:09:31] No, it's not just look man. Don't look at the bag. I think I'm I have I think I have COVID

[00:09:37] You are COVID I

[00:09:40] Pulled this out and it's either a pork rind or a funion that it's a it's a circular disc of bullshit

[00:09:46] You gave me the whole bag. I don't want them back. I want to back because they're delicious

[00:09:51] I want to eat this give these back to your friend

[00:09:53] This is the first time that I know what it is beforehand. I just really don't like these things

[00:09:57] You don't like funions

[00:09:59] What movie does funions play a role in?

[00:10:03] Not one I've ever seen I don't tremors because that's what they give me. I know

[00:10:08] She's a doctor

[00:10:11] What's the movie with Jim Brewer half baked. Yeah, I forgot about that. Yeah, I really don't want to eat this crunch up your funion boys

[00:10:20] Get it up in your mouth. They better be paying as well chompa chompa

[00:10:25] You take more than a fucking nibble of that funion bitch

[00:10:29] You're not eating it. I've had him. I had a whole small bag before

[00:10:40] No, listen, I don't mind the seasoning went on a potato chip though, you know that would be good a pringle

[00:10:47] Yeah, these would this taste would be created on the finger. This tastes great on a funion. No, I don't want this

[00:10:59] That crisp crunch. Yeah, I'm not gonna say shit. I'm drinking so let's just

[00:11:07] It's our back steak house

[00:11:08] Yeah, who gives a shit it's not specifically about steak us but it is

[00:11:11] Steakhouse onion is the flavor and it's meant to be designed after the the onion appetizer known as a blooming onion

[00:11:17] But there are other versions that various steak houses obviously. I really like it though

[00:11:22] I like it doesn't taste exactly

[00:11:24] Didn't they call it a blooming funion then because they don't have the rights

[00:11:29] Why wouldn't they be able to call the blooming fun? I think blooming onion is probably a trademark. Yeah

[00:11:34] Parody funny when you're selling stuff

[00:11:38] It's like their idiots

[00:11:42] Yeah, I could have been in that writers room and but like hey hey guys

[00:11:46] Hey, I'm a little bit of Jack there's a but I think the blooming funion sounds right. Where's my check?

[00:11:51] I mean I have a couple drinks in right now. Anyway, I'm going home

[00:11:55] First of all, I love the flavor of these new funions. I think they're delicious. I love funions in general drive here

[00:12:02] Yeah

[00:12:03] What of it?

[00:12:05] You know what I came over there zinger and I'm driving home Bruce where did you get that big fat cigar?

[00:12:10] How about you send me my last check cuz I quit I'm opening my own marketing agency called blooming funions

[00:12:16] Okay, that took it too far

[00:12:18] Just take off your polo shirt. Yeah to expose a very sweaty gray t-shirt

[00:12:23] Is that a tattoo of a frog? Yeah, and it me. Oh, it's on my lower back and it's fine

[00:12:30] Steakhouse onion funions find them wherever

[00:12:33] Stakehouses are sold I found the big bag at Walmart

[00:12:35] I found little bags at convenience stores. They're delicious and I love the big bag at Walmart the small bags in the parking lot

[00:12:42] I like these funions Brad. What's the last movie you saw buddy? I didn't watch tootsie the last movie

[00:12:48] I saw the last movie that you

[00:12:50] Ingested the last movie I ingested was a treat given to me by my friend Nate

[00:12:56] Is that the only movie you watched? No, I watched two other movies as well

[00:12:58] I mean

[00:12:59] I only watched one because we did do a new episode last week and I haven't had a time-time

[00:13:03] We're also doing the 10 to 1 podcast which there is an L podcast now

[00:13:06] By the way if you are in SNL listen to that podcast as well

[00:13:10] We review and recap new episodes as now so we do have other things going on

[00:13:14] So if you only watched one at least you watch I watched three movies

[00:13:17] Are you fucking kidding me? Yeah, cuz I have a family Brad side to watch I couldn't watch tootsie with with a family-friendly movie

[00:13:27] It's not it is you don't know if you haven't seen it. It's not

[00:13:31] He gets his dick

[00:13:34] Look at my tootsie roll. Oh gross. I'm like wow. That's them hoppin

[00:13:39] So first of all I want to talk about I want to talk about something very serious. I don't believe this is true

[00:13:46] I've been watching a lot of movies

[00:13:47] I've been watching a lot of television

[00:13:49] No, I want to point this out because I

[00:13:53] There are two great

[00:13:55] Sources for watching television in the same way that like old television used to be like when you had cable and stuff like that

[00:14:04] Because the one thing that I miss about the age of streaming is that a lot of us so much of like he's subscribed to different

[00:14:09] Services, but you have to actively pick what you want to watch

[00:14:12] You know like nothing is just on unless you're paying for cable or something like that

[00:14:16] But Pluto TV is a free streaming service that is set up a lot like cable where there's always stuff

[00:14:23] That's playing there's ads which is why everything is free. They play movies that are unedited

[00:14:27] So you're still getting like the full experience. You just have to deal with commercials

[00:14:31] You just watch a movie for three hours instead of two right, but they also have very specific

[00:14:37] Curated channels in what world would you pick?

[00:14:41] To watch a random film that you it's three o'clock

[00:14:46] Well, no, here's why TV

[00:14:47] Here's why and you throw and it's a three-hour movie instead of we talk all the time about how movies are so long

[00:14:52] But here's why I don't I don't do this when I want to sit down and actively watch a movie

[00:14:57] I put this on in the background while I'm working. See that's different. I can't put a movie on

[00:15:02] I'm not watching new stuff though. I'm it doesn't matter. It's all stuff. I've seen before

[00:15:08] Or shows that I like it's like

[00:15:11] You get I get nostalgic

[00:15:13] TBS is doing 21 jump street exactly that and I don't want to watch it closely

[00:15:18] But I don't mind that it's on a hundred percent in the commercials. I do this I do this all the time

[00:15:23] I always put on movies that I've seen it shows that I see I gotta be so distracted

[00:15:26] I'm not though

[00:15:27] That's a thing is because I know I've seen it before and so I know but also it's the kind of thing too

[00:15:30] Where if I do get distracted by it, it's only a few minutes before there's a commercial that comes along and I get back to work

[00:15:36] So there's a lot of really hyper specific channels on Pluto TV as well

[00:15:41] We're owned by Paramount by the way. Yeah, so there's a lot of Paramount stuff

[00:15:44] It's on there, but there's a lot of other stuff on there

[00:15:45] That's licensed to and so but they have very specific shows that are dedicated to some or just all the same show all the time

[00:15:53] Some are just like a variety of stand-up specials all the time

[00:15:58] There's every genre of TV is represented on there and they have a bunch of movie channels. Well, it's awesome

[00:16:03] similarly though not as necessarily high in quality of the programming

[00:16:08] Amazon Prime if you have that now they have their own live TV section that is similar similar to Pluto TV

[00:16:14] But they have channels that Pluto TV doesn't one of the ones I have been loving lately

[00:16:18] Is they have a mythbusters channel because I loved me some mythbusters free V

[00:16:25] So it's not it's not actually free V. It's they have a specific live TV section

[00:16:29] No free V is there free on-demand section, okay

[00:16:32] But they have a live TV section with streaming stuff that where it's playing

[00:16:36] All that it just says live TV on

[00:16:40] Amazon primal in the main that's good. That's so that's for their late-night programming though

[00:16:46] But I loved mythbusters back and did you guys watch mythbusters ever?

[00:16:50] No

[00:16:52] Yes, but only like

[00:16:55] Here like I didn't see I didn't search it out but yeah scrolling or whatever opposite way and I watched ghost hunters

[00:17:03] Busters no ghost hunters. I feel like if you were banned in that situation

[00:17:06] I was I would have fully expected to spend that I want the opposite way and I fucked chicks

[00:17:13] Mythbusted

[00:17:15] One of the things that I did learn from mythbusters why is why I don't hate roundabouts

[00:17:20] Because they did a whole myth on them. Oh, no, they're right do roundabouts suck. Do they actually yeah, they're efficient

[00:17:26] They really are so everybody's like and they lead to less

[00:17:30] So no because the whole thing is yes roundabouts of course make you slow down

[00:17:35] So everybody is on board with the fact that cause the exact same as people that don't care though

[00:17:41] About you dying right selfish people who doesn't care about me dying. I mean a lot of people

[00:17:47] They are the ones like just put it a fucking stop sign a

[00:17:51] Stop sign is way worse as far as travel time. So it doesn't actually it saves you time

[00:17:58] I prefer I mean right the only people that hate roundabouts are the people who don't know how to use them absolutely

[00:18:03] The old people that go the wrong way

[00:18:05] So I'm here to say as a guy with three cocktails in his belly if you don't know how to use

[00:18:10] Three my three of my cocktails if you if you don't like roundabouts. You're a fucking moron. Yeah, I

[00:18:17] But yeah, so everyone I went there guys bold hot take kind of what's over here

[00:18:23] If you don't like something that's proven by science go fuck yourself

[00:18:27] So if you haven't busted busted if you haven't checked out Pluto TV

[00:18:31] If you have Amazon Prime and you haven't checked out their live TV section

[00:18:34] I wholly recommend it because there's lots cool stuff. There was there's a whole channel

[00:18:38] That's playing episodes of the Teenage Mutant Turtles animated series in an endless loop

[00:18:44] Well, thanks so much for listening

[00:18:46] I'm in busted

[00:18:53] Opposite

[00:18:57] You what the Spanish call

[00:19:02] Rebellion also

[00:19:04] Oh

[00:19:09] What are you doing

[00:19:16] Nate literally just like acting use fingering a piano right there. It didn't help that he has his like

[00:19:24] Stop

[00:19:25] But so I I started to get into the spooky season a little bit because it's officially a fall now

[00:19:31] Following one thing that I following one thing. I haven't done

[00:19:35] Is go through all of the universal monster movies the classic ones?

[00:19:39] Like I've seen Frankenstein. I've seen Dracula. I've seen creature from the black lagoon seen the wolf man

[00:19:46] It sounds like you seem

[00:19:48] No

[00:19:49] Well, there's tons though, but here's the thing I haven't seen when they've all met Abbott and Costello

[00:19:53] So what I've been doing. Oh, no, I did see that but I do want to watch the other abit movies

[00:19:57] 1913 stock to Jack Olmister hide. No, I haven't seen that one yet

[00:20:01] I'm Lon Cheney, but directed by the great director Herbert Brennan

[00:20:07] Great

[00:20:08] We're here for you. I watched the mummy which I hadn't seen and

[00:20:12] That was done in 1932 as you know

[00:20:14] Yeah, Boris Karloff plays the mummy and I also watched the invisible man

[00:20:18] played by no one 1933

[00:20:20] Claude Reigns actually playing Jesus of man

[00:20:22] The invisible man if you haven't seen it fucking rules

[00:20:27] Because the character is so much like dark fun like he's insane

[00:20:33] And he's not like a villain who's like seeking out like and doing villainous things

[00:20:39] But he's been driven mad because he accidentally turned himself invisible and he's just trying to figure

[00:20:44] It out, but he can't get any peace people keep fucking bothering him and so like whenever people like are messing with his effort

[00:20:50] He just like loses it and like messes with people and like use and and the effects man

[00:20:56] I was so impressed by the effects done back in the 1930s for this because they look amazing

[00:21:01] They would they would do a shot of things and be like you wouldn't see anybody there

[00:21:07] But they'd be like that's the invisible man. That's crazy how they did that

[00:21:10] But no though though they would do that and the other actors out of computer

[00:21:14] No in the crazy part is the other actually did that hat just move and it wasn't even on screen

[00:21:18] And then the other actors like it did I don't know if you guys remember when you saw the invisible man from 1933

[00:21:24] But the great deadly digs isn't there. You're such a son of a

[00:21:28] laptop open my

[00:21:30] My lawn cheney bit was real like I said that it was real and then you're really directed by so was only you're just reading shit

[00:21:36] No, but like it it genuinely goes beyond the effects of just like seeing something move like something invisible is moving it

[00:21:45] Listen this is what you get for keep me up the invisible man. It's like a hat is floaty

[00:21:54] Boater is going to take a string. What is that a puppet? There's like a string that you see off my lady

[00:22:02] Dude you're gonna have a tough time the rest of this time. I'm sorry

[00:22:08] This whatever I'll shut up they did

[00:22:15] For the effects when he like because he wraps himself with bandages to make it so that he seems like a normal man

[00:22:20] He's like in layers so that you can't tell like it. There's something weird about him

[00:22:24] The effects that they do for when he's unwrapping himself though

[00:22:28] It doesn't look like they have like just a dummy there that they're doing it

[00:22:32] And they're unwrapping it with like fish line or something like that

[00:22:35] It's it's no bit. Did you look at it like how did they do? No, no

[00:22:38] I didn't get a chance to look it up yet

[00:22:39] But like I got an idea that like some of it is it seems like it's early green screen kind of work where they shot him on

[00:22:47] A different soundstage than the actual set so that way they were able to make his

[00:22:52] His body disappeared but the clothes still still say in the same

[00:22:55] I'm assuming that and this is again. I'm not doing anymore

[00:22:58] I'm assuming it's a lot of wire form right where you just got like literally like

[00:23:02] Imagine a clothes hanger and they bend the metal to be like that's the body and then they can like they can pull it away as the

[00:23:09] You know I'm saying like I don't know. I don't I don't think so though because like

[00:23:13] It seems that's why I say like it seems like it's early green screen because they're clearly able to remove

[00:23:19] Whatever is under the bandage? Oh, like it's not just seeing through it

[00:23:23] Like there's clearly an effect that's being done

[00:23:24] I think that I needed to see this will Claude Reigns the actor there has a very famous grandson

[00:23:32] Who is very popular today called Timothy Shalame?

[00:23:36] Is that true? No

[00:23:39] Say no, it's Tim Reigns the guy that played for the Rockies. No, it's Memphis Reigns Nicholas Cage's character from Gone in Seasons

[00:23:44] I love all these choices

[00:23:48] But no the original man

[00:23:49] It really was a lot of fun like I it honestly played like a

[00:23:53] Almost like a modern horror movie in a way. It's it's it's really well done

[00:23:58] I was a thoroughly impressed by it of all of

[00:24:00] This sounds like a bit of all of the invisible man was there been you know

[00:24:05] No, there's several Holloman and and what was the latest one?

[00:24:08] Do you know me? Yeah, right and then and then chibi chase. Yeah memoirs of an invisible man

[00:24:15] What's your favorite all time? I

[00:24:17] would say

[00:24:20] It's I mean honestly I was I really liked the new invisible man. It's yeah. No, it's really killing

[00:24:26] It's really it's a great thriller. It's really well done

[00:24:29] Do you draw any comparisons between the first one and the latest one because like I remember thinking that

[00:24:35] It's more of a psycho and also like in the in the where do you place?

[00:24:39] David Spade's character in Hotel Transylvania

[00:24:45] No, the so invisible man is more of a

[00:24:49] Like it's a modern

[00:24:51] Yeah, the new one is more of a modern thriller because like the guy is very much clearly a villain

[00:24:56] Right in the the original one that I just watched the classic one. He's driven man

[00:25:01] Yeah, it's still not a great guy like he ends up like threatening a lot of people but like he's I love

[00:25:06] Not inherently evil. No, and I love that because that's that's what we lose

[00:25:10] These days and so again the this kind of goes back to the MCU honestly

[00:25:15] The best villains are the ones that you're like oh, I see why he's mad

[00:25:18] Yeah, and so if you see like he's not a great guy

[00:25:21] But also he's driven to madness and driven to killing or whatever

[00:25:23] It's so much more fun to watch that kind of movie then it's like oh, he's bad just because he's bad

[00:25:28] Yeah, you know learn that lesson Hollywood come on hollow man, right?

[00:25:32] Yeah, I just said that yeah, you mentioned a lot of man memos. I'm going through these

[00:25:39] Did you guys see the visual computer keep up what's invisible kid a 1988 film starring J

[00:25:46] Underwood in China Phillips John Taylor Thomas, right?

[00:25:50] I'm

[00:25:50] Amazon woman on the moon what it was a spoof of the son of the invisible man with a big junior. Oh

[00:25:59] Sure

[00:26:00] There's a fun bit. Let's keep you on

[00:26:03] My monster party hmm. Yep includes the man's woman. They were getting further away the amazing transparent man

[00:26:09] The amazing transparent 1956

[00:26:13] But yeah, so

[00:26:15] Classic Elizabeth Banks is developing a film on the invisible woman. That's true

[00:26:20] But yeah, these classic horror movies are really enjoyable to watch

[00:26:25] What are you gonna next buddy? Could I whatever is in order is this okay?

[00:26:30] You're going you're going in the order these ones from the 30s though

[00:26:33] Like I couldn't show these to the boys because they're they too like adults

[00:26:37] Or they just get bored. I think they I think they would get bored and also

[00:26:42] Yeah, I just don't yeah, they're not necessarily for

[00:26:44] Kids I guess by the way the next one you're doing is the bride of Frankenstein cool. Yeah, I know cool

[00:26:51] Cool. What else you watch?

[00:26:53] So the other only movie I watched was the movie assigned to me by my friend Nate. Hi

[00:26:58] It's a 1986 movie called Little Shop of Horrors

[00:27:09] Famous so this is one of those movies where I was aware of some of its more famous moments

[00:27:14] And like I've seen clips here and there. I'm aware of the musical and everything

[00:27:19] I just never sat down to watch the musical no, I have never seen the actual musical

[00:27:25] But it's a fun musical to see this movie

[00:27:27] It makes me wish that they would bring back the hour and a half musical because let me tell you

[00:27:31] It's a treat to sit down and watch a full-blown musical that isn't two and a half fucking hours long

[00:27:38] What Nate?

[00:27:40] Fiddler

[00:27:41] What music fucking asshole, I'm not kidding you what musical movie is an hour and a half little shop horse. Oh, is that it?

[00:27:48] Yeah

[00:27:49] No, that's what he's talking about right now like I'm sure there's others

[00:27:52] But for right now we're saying that we wish no

[00:27:54] I thought you were saying I wish they would bring it back because this was too long

[00:27:57] No, but this was an hour and a half and I loved it and I wish they would do it more often

[00:28:01] How did you not get that? Geez? I know because I'm three drinks in and I'm giving it trying to get

[00:28:06] I'm wondering what they cut out to make it an hour or here real quick Brad over here real quick

[00:28:11] I really like that

[00:28:13] Don't compliment is the stage musical longer

[00:28:17] There's no stage musical. That's an hour and a half

[00:28:20] I mean, I'd be curious to know what they did to cut this down to be an hour and a half

[00:28:25] That's what I'm wondering now. I'll have to do some what was your favorite part

[00:28:28] My favorite part is a hundred percent how incredible the puppetry is for

[00:28:33] I mean the lips alone the way they move looks so natural

[00:28:39] It's crazy how good the puppetry is did you know based on just the zeitgeist that Bill Murray played prominently as the dentist

[00:28:46] No, Bill Murray is the patient. Yeah, I know I actually had no idea. Well Murray was in this movie

[00:28:51] Okay, I same thing right when I watched it a couple years ago for the first time and I was always oh

[00:28:58] And he's a he's a he's a masochist. Yeah loves it

[00:29:01] It blew me away in the best way. It's such a great performance. I had so much fun

[00:29:05] It's such a fun small role. Yeah, I love seeing Steve Martin in this role, too

[00:29:08] They're just such like a goofy douchebag total asshole

[00:29:12] And man, I miss Rick Moranis so much

[00:29:15] So great in this yeah

[00:29:17] He's just he's just great in general and I hope that he has some kind of comeback

[00:29:20] My one hope right now

[00:29:21] And I don't even know if it would necessarily lead to like a big comeback because it just sounds like he's just

[00:29:25] Being very choosy with like what he wants to do. Is he doing anything?

[00:29:28] He hasn't really done anything. He did like the most reason he did is I think he did some some mint mobile commercials with Ryan Reynolds

[00:29:35] Yeah, the thing is

[00:29:38] Much like Gene Wilder

[00:29:40] Gene Wilder always said after retired if I get the right script

[00:29:43] Yeah, I'll come back. Yeah, and that's a great way of being like I'm not an asshole

[00:29:47] Yeah, I just haven't had anything and even if you had an amazing script

[00:29:51] And he just didn't want to do it then it still maintains your legacy

[00:29:53] Yeah

[00:29:54] And I feel like Maras is doing the exact same thing if it's a good enough project

[00:29:56] But also if he's got to pay the bills I know a mint mobile. I guess did that or maybe donated charity

[00:30:02] I don't know maybe he doesn't need to I mean

[00:30:03] Why did you do the mint mobile though? Or maybe it's just an easy breezy little well

[00:30:07] So he cover girl well, he's Canadian and so is Ryan Reynolds

[00:30:09] Yeah, maybe they know I think yeah

[00:30:11] I think it was just kind of a friendly thing and they were gonna do a shrunk

[00:30:14] They were supposed yeah, they're supposed to honey. I shrunk the invisible man

[00:30:17] They're supposed to do a legacy cool called shrunk where Josh Gad played Rick Moranis' son all grown up

[00:30:25] It's not clear what's happening with that if it's still a thing or anything

[00:30:28] Gad apparently said that it canceled on permanent

[00:30:30] So yeah, but probably some studio but apparently Rick Moranis I did agree to do it because honestly

[00:30:38] Who wouldn't want to see that film?

[00:30:39] So similarly though there the other opportunity that's coming up also involving Josh Gad frozen three is Josh Gad is

[00:30:46] He co-wrote a space ball sequel

[00:30:49] Yes with Dan Hernandez and Benji Sime who worked on Ninja Turtles mutant mayhem

[00:30:54] They've worked on some other fun stuff along the road and Josh is that a new phrase

[00:31:01] What along the road?

[00:31:03] No, it's not just a new one. Do you go with that? No, you're along the way

[00:31:08] It's fine along the road. I've never heard along the road

[00:31:12] Nate have you ever heard along the road? No, you know, you know somewhere along the road

[00:31:16] I think you can infer what it means when I say I did I did Jarring cuz it's stupid. I did

[00:31:21] You'd like me again. I love

[00:31:25] Especially drunk Ben all right well, let's be transparent here just like your favorite fucking movie now

[00:31:31] I made that joke transport earlier and it landed. Yeah, cuz I said it was a real stinker

[00:31:38] Just like hollow man

[00:31:40] There's a space balls to and actually I like how man Josh

[00:31:44] green bomb is supposed to direct it and

[00:31:46] As we all know Rick Moranis played dark helmet in the original space balls

[00:31:50] And so I'm assuming because Josh Gad struck up a good relationship with Rick Moranis when shrunk was still an element

[00:31:57] That they might be able to get Rick Moranis back as dark helmet

[00:32:00] Now the only thing that we don't know yet is what space balls to is and so if it's gonna focus for more money

[00:32:05] If it's gonna focus on a new villain similar to the Star Wars trilogy sequels that had Kylo Ren

[00:32:11] But still following the teachings of Darth Vader, then maybe it would just be a small role

[00:32:15] Which I would be fine with just as long as we get Rick Moranis back in some way

[00:32:19] I do wonder how Rick Moranis because he he stopped acting like 1990 something the mid to late 90s

[00:32:27] Yeah, his wife passed away and he just decided to quit raises kids. Yeah one of the most

[00:32:32] Honestly, and during things you can do

[00:32:35] Not too many people could turn down that kind of money

[00:32:38] But I do wonder though start them

[00:32:40] How he had that much money to retire at that age cuz I don't think that's the I think the point is he didn't

[00:32:45] I think the point is that he made some money and then probably just live a normal

[00:32:51] Enough money though to live a middle-class existence, maybe

[00:32:55] Lower lower middle class even I mean honestly, I pray not lower somebody's 67 grand a year

[00:33:00] I mean the guy started a Disney franchise that had three movies to it, you know

[00:33:06] Yeah, and I wondered to if he's been working doing writing or something, you know like you know at one point

[00:33:13] He released us Moranis net worth some kind of comedy album called the agoraphobic cowboy

[00:33:21] Rick Moranis is a Canadian actor who has a net worth of ten million dollars sure

[00:33:26] And if you're more than mine, and if he's not, you know living in Hollywood and spending, you know

[00:33:32] He's over its amount of money. I mean upscale living even 10 million you can live in Hollywood

[00:33:36] You just don't need to live in a mansion. You can live in Hollywood for 10 million living an apartment for 10 million

[00:33:45] Not your god

[00:33:47] I mean you did his parties for 10 million. I've been there Ben's getting in free guffs. Yeah

[00:33:54] But yeah, so little shop of horrors this movie was great soundtrack is fantastic

[00:33:59] doo-wop driven

[00:34:02] There's great voice work by

[00:34:05] Who's the guy that plays Audrey to I'm blanking on his name. It's Frank Oz Levi Burgess. Oh that is me

[00:34:13] Yeah, we're just always assuming Nate is just

[00:34:16] Yeah, oh yeah in the movie that we're talking about I don't know

[00:34:20] I just can't believe that he wasn't already on it. That's what I said. I just said that I just can't believe he wasn't looking up

[00:34:25] already

[00:34:25] I just I'm now Levi Stubbs is the name of Audrey. Yeah, I knew that great

[00:34:34] Great dark comedy great soundtrack

[00:34:37] Yeah, I would love to see I wish there was more musicals like this out there

[00:34:42] Wicked is coming out in November. Yeah that movie's two hours and 40 minutes and it's just part one. Yeah

[00:34:50] That's I did look it up little supper horrors in the theater

[00:34:54] Like if you urge right now in the in the actual like performing arts theater on stage

[00:34:58] Yeah, on stage is two hours and 15 minutes. So they did cut a decent amount

[00:35:02] Yeah, but you know, but you know it just proves that they didn't need it in the musical rent

[00:35:06] They pay the rent in like the first 10 minutes. Well, it's 525,600 minutes

[00:35:13] That's how late the red is no

[00:35:17] But oh that's that is that how long AIDS lasts Wow

[00:35:21] That's the movie right? It's about AIDS. I mean it is about a

[00:35:25] You're welcome. I just I just gave that to the listener rent is about AIDS

[00:35:33] Thanks for little shop before and

[00:35:36] I'd like it. I do typically only give Ben musicals to watch

[00:35:41] I'm glad you gave him the shortest one we I'm glad that I added 80s movies to our

[00:35:46] List of things to check off so that we have new movies speaking of like 5,045 thousand 15 thousand thousands

[00:35:53] We have like five thousand eight

[00:35:56] I

[00:35:57] No, I know I've been meaning to go back through because when you added the first batch

[00:36:02] There's a lot of like international releases in there that like our movies. Oh, hey, no no

[00:36:08] No, hey for the listener that probably doesn't know this all I did it was the top

[00:36:15] 100 grossing movies. Oh, no, I know

[00:36:18] The listener doesn't

[00:36:19] Top 100 grossing movies on box office mojo per year. Yeah, and I just added the first 20 years

[00:36:24] I started off doing that. Okay, you're

[00:36:33] Hold on I'm not talking shit

[00:36:36] I'm just pointing out that there are some movies on there that we can probably

[00:36:39] Remove that I know that we're never gonna get around to

[00:36:42] Listen, I don't want that though

[00:36:44] I want more movies that I'll never see because no no no no no no

[00:36:48] Hold on hold on. I wanted a cap solution what I mean that I could see what I mean

[00:36:52] No, what I mean is these are movies that none of us have seen so they're never gonna get recommended to anybody

[00:36:58] But there and they're also they're also not big movies that are acclaimed by like movie

[00:37:02] It doesn't matter. It's a movie that exists. I wanted it's never gonna get a sign

[00:37:06] It doesn't matter. I want to know out of I want to know my percentages the list is for the podcast

[00:37:10] Okay, so make your own separate list our listeners might not know

[00:37:13] We have an ongoing excel sheet where we keep track of the movies

[00:37:17] We've seen so that we know what we can assign to each other right?

[00:37:22] So I put I've seen all these films and then they could say okay. You haven't seen this film

[00:37:26] Here's the film you see

[00:37:29] Here's my my gripe

[00:37:31] About this go ahead Nate has seen half as many movies as we go ahead

[00:37:36] With my I have seen and my work. No, you're basically my start your finish

[00:37:42] Yeah, actually it's it's very much about that. Hmm. I

[00:37:46] Okay, I actually appreciate what Ben did

[00:37:49] I do Ben put a link to the film in your list

[00:37:56] So I can actually just hover over that link and it will show me

[00:38:02] The movie poster we post it

[00:38:04] Which is helped me multiple times when I see is your life so hard

[00:38:09] That you can't go to your Google Bradford over to your or to your being there's five or two you ask

[00:38:16] Jeeves, it's hard to like look up individually

[00:38:19] You just added like 500 movies. You got really lazy and then we have to go like I don't know if I've seen that one

[00:38:25] I gotta look it up. So now I'm googling like 200

[00:38:31] So hard is your life. This is what you do for a living better. I have jobs

[00:38:37] It's hard man. You made it hard. I didn't make I went to make this easier

[00:38:41] I went through for five hours this week and did that and that's why I didn't watch Chisley

[00:38:45] It didn't take it five I didn't want to I saw you do it and it took you like less than an hour

[00:38:50] I would tell you this but that's an hour. I took you less than an hour

[00:38:52] I am the most behind on my list and I did spend two hours on it this week and I'm still way behind

[00:38:59] Yeah, by the way, Brad is and Brad is in over

[00:39:05] 2700 films I have seen about 2600 Nate has seen 1900

[00:39:09] Well, I've seen more because I've added more to the list and I am

[00:39:13] comically behind on that list but you guys see more

[00:39:17] 2300 I'm gonna clip spread by the end of 2025

[00:39:21] At the pace you're going this week. No, you're not

[00:39:25] Yeah, you ever start watching movies first dip shit

[00:39:29] Well, I have another one Ben so what did you watch since you didn't watch tootsie? I

[00:39:35] Watched every episode of mr. McMahon on Netflix. I've heard it's very good. It's awesome. It's great. Tell the people what it is meaning

[00:39:43] It's horrible. Yeah, so, you know Vince McMahon

[00:39:48] Took over the wrestling business from his father and built it into the WWF

[00:39:55] After he was on Johnny Carson, right?

[00:39:58] Ed McMahon

[00:40:00] Christ

[00:40:05] So no Vincent man did he built a billion dollar empire he did

[00:40:09] And the documentary was filmed. Here's the most interesting part the documentary is filmed in 2021

[00:40:17] and so there are all of these interviews from the rock and

[00:40:22] John Cena

[00:40:23] Stone Cold Steve Austin

[00:40:26] Stephanie McMahon

[00:40:28] I think Sean McMahon is his son's name Vince himself. They are very very detailed. They talked to Ed

[00:40:35] They did not talk to Ed

[00:40:38] There's great every now and then

[00:40:40] They did such a good job interviewing and then

[00:40:47] As they're building this mr. McMahon documentary

[00:40:50] Uh the actual horrible

[00:40:53] Sex trafficking allegations come out against this

[00:40:56] And he doesn't record any more interviews and so they just like they were basically left

[00:41:02] With all of these tapes and so now they've made it into a documentary

[00:41:06] And they bookend it with like

[00:41:09] It's just now that the way they've cut it is sick. Yeah, it's disgusting

[00:41:13] It's like Vince McMahon says this and then the bookend on the end is like so and so settled the lawsuit

[00:41:19] Every episode ends with somebody settling a lawsuit for millions of dollars with Vince McMahon. He is a horrible

[00:41:28] Epstein level

[00:41:29] Diddy level

[00:41:30] Jonathan Majors level piece of

[00:41:33] Human X I mean who doesn't deserve

[00:41:36] The

[00:41:37] I agree I

[00:41:39] Not that we want to put this on the record that that we are not trying to defend Jonathan majors

[00:41:45] I'm not sure that majors is next to on par with the insane sexual

[00:41:51] antics and crimes committed by diddy

[00:41:54] Vince McMahon

[00:41:55] so

[00:41:56] So he's still a piece of shit. He but like we're talking about like

[00:42:02] Huge sex trafficking crimes then like he hit his girlfriend

[00:42:05] I think which is terrible, which is terrible

[00:42:08] Why are you why are you defending somebody that's beating women? Hold on the fact that Nate said the same thing

[00:42:12] This is crazy to me. You guys are on Jonathan majors side. You're defending Jonathan majors

[00:42:19] What the fuck is going on right now?

[00:42:22] Actually

[00:42:24] Actually, Jonathan majors is a good guy

[00:42:26] Brad omen

[00:42:27] Brad omen Ethan underscore and as

[00:42:30] Slashville.com

[00:42:31] Nate laughing because he would have taken this bullet if I hadn't have also agreed with him

[00:42:38] And explained it because he was like hold on

[00:42:41] The guy since college has been beating women and raping people and you guys are both like, uh, that's fine

[00:42:49] What the fuck is going on right now? Were there rape allegations? Yes

[00:42:52] I don't think there were for Jonathan majors. Honestly keep defending him. That's no no. No, this is great

[00:42:57] We you have to be clear. You have to be clear though. Yeah, because like I believe women know because then

[00:43:04] Epsi's like

[00:43:05] Yeah, that's like

[00:43:06] That's like king sex trafficking

[00:43:09] And like it's not the same like you're in some ways they they all deserve the same

[00:43:15] No, but it's like you're but it's almost like you're lessening what epsi did

[00:43:19] In a way too. Not at all. I'm saying they all deserve to be just shot in a cannon into the sun

[00:43:25] Like sure. Yes, no room for this and again, there's no lessening or heightening. They all just deserve to go

[00:43:31] Oh car blanche

[00:43:33] Well, I'm not sure like I don't know you put moose a lenient the same gobbles

[00:43:38] Was just gobbles. He wasn't hitler brad omen

[00:43:43] This is what you said earlier. It's not really cut back to 10 episodes ago

[00:43:47] You're like joseph gobbles. Not the same as hitler, you know, he's he's not as you know

[00:43:52] I don't know that I would put him in the same category

[00:43:58] So, um

[00:43:59] vidswick man

[00:44:01] One of your heroes piece of shit one of brad's heroes. Yes piece of shit

[00:44:07] He's just a piece of great tv personality or greatest tv personality

[00:44:11] That's the whole documentary is like the character he built of mr. McMahon being like this piece of shit

[00:44:17] Just like everybody knows in real life. That's who that guy was and everybody just covered it up or like, you know

[00:44:25] Left him sued him came back to him. It's just this real

[00:44:28] sycophantic culture even hulk hogan who's prominently displayed like when he went to wcw

[00:44:35] It was like a slap in mcmahon's face

[00:44:37] And then hogan came back and they like made amends because to vince mcmahon

[00:44:42] It was all about the business no matter what yeah, and hogan forgave and forgot everything like they all forgave and forgot always

[00:44:49] It's insane the level as you say that the wwf wrestlers aren't always the smartest

[00:44:56] Honestly the reverse

[00:44:58] A lot of them were very very smart as far as there's no lawson doesn't believe in cte

[00:45:04] No, yeah, and he says it in the documentary and it's like, okay. You're an idiot, but like where's the evidence?

[00:45:09] So like guys like triple h, you know and guys like the rock and john syna have been a little

[00:45:18] Parlay this into like very successful careers

[00:45:21] Plenty of guys bread that hit man heart is

[00:45:24] Especially resounding in this because his brother was the one that died by trying to zip line into a state whatever

[00:45:30] There was a lot of like trust that was built up that was betrayed by vince mcmahon

[00:45:35] And even brett the hit man heart came back to the fold eventually it's like money

[00:45:41] Does it you know or

[00:45:43] You know depending on how you know how destitute you are for fame

[00:45:47] It it's a like I think other than the fact that it shows how much of a piece of shit

[00:45:52] This guy is you can really see that these very famous people

[00:45:55] Take it a bit for granted and then years later

[00:45:58] They have to come back and suck a little to teat because they need it or they or they want it

[00:46:02] They need a little limelight or the money. I saw a story that like vince mcmahon

[00:46:07] Was dating a woman at the time, you know and

[00:46:10] Dating you know like sure a younger woman like you know

[00:46:14] And he offered up for sex to get like brock lesnar somebody back into the fold like

[00:46:20] Like he just will use people in in the narrative of the of the documentary

[00:46:25] He the the first female referee in the w w f was rita

[00:46:31] Rita was something or other and as part of the contract to try to get

[00:46:36] Lesnar back Rita chattered it was oh, yeah, and also you can fuck rita. Wow like I'll just I'll give her to you

[00:46:43] And it was just like part of the deal

[00:46:46] And lesnar was on board evidently and like all this stuff is just insane to me

[00:46:50] Like I don't know that's the trafficking part right where it's like. Oh, yeah

[00:46:53] It's part of the contract. You're gonna fuck this woman that doesn't want to fuck you like that's insanity

[00:46:57] Is that what made him such a hero to you?

[00:46:59] Are you talking about yourself in the third person for some reason like it's weird that's the best you can do

[00:47:04] Yeah, I got nothing i'm for drenching

[00:47:07] So anyway, yeah, no, I did actually watch that but honestly that was that was last week up until I got my movie on Thursday

[00:47:12] That I didn't watch so I did watch all of that before

[00:47:15] Okay, my my movie whatever you tell yourself sleeping. But what did you think of your movie?

[00:47:19] uh, tootsie is

[00:47:21] a

[00:47:23] Nuanced and dustin hoffman gives a stellar performance. I can see why it's so highly rated

[00:47:27] How long did it get you hard take you the whole time?

[00:47:32] How long did it take you to get to the center of that tootsie pop?

[00:47:35] I mean if it's uh, if it's if it's dustin hoffman as a tootsie

[00:47:40] Just a husband. I'm going three licks. Yep. I'll bet

[00:47:44] I actually did finish a movie uh that I started last week. Uh, I watched good. I watched uh

[00:47:50] Jack ryan shadow recruit. Oh, what a boring movie

[00:47:54] So I wasn't it wasn't

[00:47:57] Super terrible until like the last act

[00:48:01] I was actually like kind of intrigued by what was going on

[00:48:04] I don't remember anything about that. It was like kevin costner and him have a good back and forth

[00:48:08] And it's whatever and kira nightly plays the wife and they have like like is he gonna tell her he's in this here or not

[00:48:13] I did too

[00:48:14] It was wasted in this movie

[00:48:16] But then the last the last third of the movie goes oh, fuck we're an action movie right and they just throw it

[00:48:22] In the blender. Yep, and I'm going everything that I've learned about him trying to be basically jason born at the first part

[00:48:27] Which I'm like, oh, but nowhere near as exciting. No, not at all

[00:48:30] But like still there's something there and then they literally like helicopters blowing things up run after him

[00:48:36] It's here's a motorcycle chase like diehard through a tunnel

[00:48:40] I'm like what where is this coming from all of the stuff that you've built up of is him being kind of a

[00:48:45] Normal guy and having his back broken and he's going through rehab

[00:48:49] But now he's being thrown off a motorcycle into his concrete wall and he just walks it off

[00:48:53] It's so well that's stronger now. Really? It's so fucking jarring though. Like that's just weird

[00:48:59] I I remember really disliking them moving being supremely bored, but it was fine

[00:49:03] And I was engaged until I totally was over it. Yeah. Yeah

[00:49:08] Uh, and then I'm trying to think if I watched something with the boys or not

[00:49:12] Oh, uh, I told I talked about a ride in the dark, right? Yes. Yeah, uh, yeah, then that that would be the last

[00:49:18] Oh good

[00:49:21] I'll remember the other movie that I watched with the boys

[00:49:24] Hopefully, uh, tootsie will be a movie you remember too. Yeah. No, no, like I said, I'm gonna watch it next week. Yeah

[00:49:30] We'll see. Hey, how about you buddy? What's uh

[00:49:33] That's last movie you saw

[00:49:35] I watched a film, uh made in 1989. I hope this was the film you want to be able to see

[00:49:43] Uh starring the great tom hanks

[00:49:48] I'm gonna fordring him. What would I give you called the burps? Oh fuck. Yeah

[00:49:53] And this is uh, this is honestly one of my favorite tom hanks movies all time. It's like a black comedy. I love this one

[00:49:58] and this film is about

[00:50:01] Uh neighboring and whether or not you

[00:50:05] Uh

[00:50:05] If you've ever lived in a neighborhood where you suspect your neighbors of potentially being serial killers

[00:50:11] Or just weird you might be a redneck

[00:50:13] This

[00:50:15] If you ever lived in a cul-de-sac where you thought your neighbors might be murdering people

[00:50:21] You might be right there

[00:50:23] This film is for you. This stars, um tom hanks

[00:50:29] bruce dern

[00:50:31] and um

[00:50:33] And the clopex and young quarry feldman

[00:50:37] R.I.P

[00:50:38] Quote film and still

[00:50:40] Oh

[00:50:42] Yeah, sorry

[00:50:44] And um

[00:50:45] wendy shaw who uh is in a swimsuit for quite a bit as who doesn't like ruse derns calm down nate

[00:50:55] Of all people to say that by the way of all people. Yeah, yeah

[00:51:00] But when you point it out like that's how I know it really turned your crank

[00:51:04] I don't like that. No, I don't like that term. Oh, would you mind rather say that? I know you took it along the road

[00:51:11] That's way back. I think for that for that move for jacking off

[00:51:16] Hey, man, I took it along the road. I can say that in front of my kids

[00:51:19] Wendy shaw in a bathing suit is part of the film though like it's part of the quarry feldman

[00:51:25] It's the part of the burbs zeitgeist. Yep. And so uh, this is a film about uh tom hanks

[00:51:30] um playing a character with it's about a neighborhood essentially um with uh

[00:51:38] Suspecting that one of their neighbors may be I would posit who they claim that this is a movie about a man with too much time

[00:51:44] On his hands could be right too much time on his hands

[00:51:49] So I feel like by the way, this is uh one of john malaney and bill haters favorite film

[00:51:54] I I'm not joking. I love why do you love this film so much?

[00:51:57] So when I was a kid and I first saw it I probably saw it like on vhs and like 1991

[00:52:03] I was okay early then. Yeah, and so I just remember

[00:52:07] Being scared by it, but like it's so safe

[00:52:10] It's not a horror from whatsoever. No, but it's like the the leave it to be for me exactly

[00:52:15] And it's also it's also not even king. It's not a thriller either. It's just a very silly

[00:52:20] like

[00:52:21] Guy kind of losing his mind because he assumes the worst out of the new creepy neighbors

[00:52:26] And and spoiler alerted if you've never seen the birds

[00:52:30] Uh, the birds the birds he ends up being correct. Yeah, totally

[00:52:34] Even though he's made to seem like he's exactly so he's he's on vacation from whatever company

[00:52:39] And he's bored out of his mind

[00:52:42] And his wife is like just chill out. Will you please just relax? So then the clopex move in next door and he gets

[00:52:48] just

[00:52:50] Crazy addicted to watching their every move. It's not helped by his goofy best friend

[00:52:56] Who is conspiracy theorist all day long bruce dirt who plays uh rick ducommon

[00:53:01] Who back then in the 80s, honestly had this role three or four times. Yeah, exactly

[00:53:05] He was the classic the everyman was a good doofy best friend. Yep. Yeah

[00:53:11] Along for anything, you know, he goes up to the power lines and tries to cut

[00:53:15] He doesn't always doing but I'm good the power of the house and he fucks up, of course

[00:53:18] court felvin plays the the the um

[00:53:22] Bro neighbor this was the movie that made me realize that he voiced one of the ninja turtles

[00:53:26] There you go. And then uh bruce dirt plays this ex military

[00:53:30] Old man with a young wife, you know, there's but you're right, Nate

[00:53:33] It's about the neighborhood because everybody has

[00:53:36] A role to play here and the neighborhood is part of the movie

[00:53:40] Right and so the old man that has the toupee and the dog that goes missing

[00:53:46] Everybody thinks the clopex murdered him meaning tom hanks thinks the

[00:53:49] The clopex murdered him

[00:53:52] My favorite scene in this film is when the wife is so adamant that they did nothing wrong

[00:53:58] Oh my god, stop it. We're gonna go next door

[00:54:01] And we're gonna introduce ourselves. We're gonna bring over some food and we're just gonna meet them

[00:54:05] And why I've played by who uh

[00:54:08] Is it patrice?

[00:54:10] Are we just cherry fish?

[00:54:12] It's cherry fish is shit. I'm sorry. That's a fucking stretch ben

[00:54:15] Uh, but they go over there and everything is just so fuck. That's my favorite scene. It's so fucking creepy

[00:54:22] It's so weird the the the guy that answers the door is so pale with the red goats. He it's all it's perfectly casted

[00:54:29] And you get my tom hanks has the opinions and believes exactly and you you do feel like

[00:54:34] I'm kind of on his side. He's working out trying so hard to prove to him

[00:54:41] Throughout all of the weirdness, right? Because now she has her ship that has sailed

[00:54:45] Where she's on like no, I have to prove to him and tom hanks is feeling the exact opposite

[00:54:49] It's a great story for a second there and again, it's it's old enough so we can spoiler alert for a second

[00:54:56] You think

[00:54:58] Maybe we've been on this journey. We've been crazy the whole time and it's gonna come out that tom hanks is wrong

[00:55:02] And he's just an idiot

[00:55:04] But lo and behold there's a furnace in the basement, baby. Yeah, no, I love the film really enjoy this film

[00:55:10] I love the twists and turns of it

[00:55:12] But you really really like it. Yeah, and it's also it. Well, it's a black comedy. It's it's one of those like

[00:55:18] Um the humor is not as uh

[00:55:20] It's not slapstick. Yeah, right? You're not you're not like laughing out loud

[00:55:24] You're just realizing how clever it is. You know that kind of thing for sure. Do you like the burbs?

[00:55:28] Yeah, you assigned it to me not too long ago. Yeah, but do you like it? I like I can't remember what you said

[00:55:32] Do you like no? I liked it. Okay fine. Yeah, well listen. I'll have one more

[00:55:35] Hey, since we we're talking really quickly about uh rick do common. I

[00:55:39] Recently rewatched scary movie

[00:55:42] And uh, I just love that movie. It is it's the best one out of the scary movie franchise

[00:55:47] I think it's the only one the first one. Yeah, okay. I've never seen any of them

[00:55:52] Wow

[00:55:53] I mean, it's halloween spooky season brandon sounds like somebody's getting an assignment

[00:55:57] And also you're not allowed to watch it with finn. It is a

[00:56:01] Well, no, I don't know. I think it'd be fun to watch with finn. He's 15 now

[00:56:05] I saw scaring me when I was no

[00:56:07] What he's 14. I saw scaring movie when I was 15

[00:56:10] Yeah, but you don't watch that with your dad. No, no, you definitely watch it. So there's what's wrong. Oh, is this did you watch that?

[00:56:15] Was your dad? Well, yeah, and we laughed and laughed

[00:56:19] Nate don't watch it

[00:56:21] No, I don't know if I ever watched it. I don't I didn't watch it first with my dad, but

[00:56:26] But then when I found out how much sex was there like dad, we should watch this together

[00:56:30] But you know what it's funny though

[00:56:31] The reason I rewatched it is because I found out my mom hadn't seen it

[00:56:34] Oh

[00:56:36] Because she saw a couple scenes and she was laughing I was like, wait, have you never seen this?

[00:56:39] She's like, no, I don't think so. I was like, oh my gosh. Don't watch that was your mom

[00:56:42] No, my mom my mom loves first of all she loves comedies. She loves horror movies

[00:56:46] She loves just a lot of dick jokes and no, no, she like she liked it

[00:56:50] Like she thought it was funny

[00:56:51] She likes stuff like that because like she loves she loves airplane

[00:56:53] She loves naked gun and obviously awkward watching that movie

[00:56:55] No, not at all because like we watch horror movies all the time and there's section horror movies all the way

[00:57:00] Yeah, and there's a lot of parody of very famous horror movies

[00:57:02] Yeah, sure. No, I get it

[00:57:03] Um, so so yeah, so I bring this up because rick do come and has a small role in scary movie

[00:57:08] And it's only a couple brief scenes, but like his delivery is so good

[00:57:12] And the one line that always gets me every time because he's so just perfect and natural the way he does it

[00:57:18] Is it's established that like he has some kind of job where he's dealing drugs on the side and like it's

[00:57:25] And and Cindy knows about it his daughter played by Anna Ferris

[00:57:28] And so at the very end of the movie when the killer has again escaped and like her dad was taken hostage by the

[00:57:36] The would-be killers they come out and the cops get there

[00:57:39] And she's like she's like the killer was just here and killed all my friends and rick do come goes

[00:57:43] Yeah, and the sixth son of a bitch planted drugs all over the house

[00:57:47] Yeah, I actually do remember that. I haven't seen scary movie in 20 years

[00:57:51] But I do remember that line it's because it comes out of nowhere and it's hilarious

[00:57:55] Well, do you guys have a recent memory of rick to come in of something he's been in?

[00:58:01] I mean that was probably the most recent one honestly that because that was before he he died I think

[00:58:05] More like Rick to go in diet of diabetes. Yeah 2015. I'm coming with you rick check your sugars

[00:58:11] I'm good

[00:58:12] Check I'm hoping I'm hoping for them to check me have your sugar spayed or neutered

[00:58:18] Um, but yeah the other rick do come in movie that I have also by the way just real quick

[00:58:23] The fact that bob barker always wanted to have the pets spayed neutered

[00:58:27] And his last name is bark or like that's really funny

[00:58:32] It's not it's not really it's okay. It's pretty funny. Yeah, that was like uh, was it worth interrupting the podcast one?

[00:58:39] What's this? What's the deal with bob barker's last name?

[00:58:43] Why don't they just make the prices right out of the black box?

[00:58:47] Barker are they?

[00:58:50] Darts into the bathroom everywhere. What the s s p. What's next? What's next wheel of fortune hosted by pat sameo?

[00:59:01] What fucking idiots

[00:59:04] Uh rick to common was also in blank check which is a movie that I have a high affinity for from my childhood

[00:59:12] Uh, it's a disney movie. Did you ever see blank check or were you too old for it? No? No, I saw it. Yeah

[00:59:17] Uh, I was enamored with that movie because I thought to myself what a great premise

[00:59:21] Oh my god, you know that's actually right for remake for real

[00:59:24] What a dream it would just be like for kids like I don't even know how you get away with it today though

[00:59:28] No, but like in a different premise like you just get a blank check, right? Yeah

[00:59:32] So like that's fair like ruin or ender right now are at the age where that would be

[00:59:36] They say things all the time like imagine if the whole house was filled with ice

[00:59:42] If they got a blank check, they could do it. Yeah, you know, that's the kind of stuff that like kids were

[00:59:46] And I remember latching onto the yes, I would love to do all of the things he's doing

[00:59:49] That richy rich. Yep. Yeah, I love I like both those movies. They're not good movies

[00:59:53] But I I love them. Oh, no, I just I love what they got to do. Yes 100%

[00:59:57] I was jealous. How about you Nate?

[01:00:03] Oh, it was fine

[01:00:04] He wasn't listening. He was texting his girlfriend

[01:00:06] No, I was literally looking at the other films he's been in and he's been in so many films as a character actor

[01:00:13] Encino man. He was baseball. Um, he was he's dead. He's way he died hard

[01:00:20] Um, yeah, wait, red. Who do you play in diehard?

[01:00:23] Uh, he plays

[01:00:26] Come on

[01:00:27] Diehard won. Yeah

[01:00:30] He's uh

[01:00:31] Isn't he like a there's a guy that it's a connection to the burbs

[01:00:36] I just mentioned it

[01:00:39] He's like like an electrician. Yeah, he's the guy who's like, hey, uh, leo

[01:00:43] We're gonna need you to cut the power to grid 47. Yeah, just do it

[01:00:48] I don't know why he's now hunt. He was in the hunt. He's now in new york

[01:00:52] gremlins 2

[01:00:55] Groundhog day last action hero

[01:00:59] Great

[01:01:00] Great chubby character. Yeah, just a great like like you said every man kind of he found his way

[01:01:05] I wanted to get rid of the diabetes because of what I got rid of career

[01:01:08] Amen

[01:01:08] What happens the best of us that's why I keep telling myself me too. Yeah

[01:01:12] I'm like, but I wouldn't be this funny if I was skinny

[01:01:15] You know what maybe go for it. I mean look what happened to Nate

[01:01:19] He's hilarious

[01:01:21] Yeah, look at him

[01:01:22] He's like, hey, it's free me

[01:01:24] And he's crushing it. I got I got chubs right here. Your name is sweating. Oh, give me that you're not even sweating

[01:01:31] And it's not to your

[01:01:33] No, it's not to your stupid crystal like it's like six still 63 down here. Yeah, it's not your crystallite deodorant

[01:01:38] It's not where it is

[01:01:40] Yeah, it's just your skinny

[01:01:43] Gosh, so crystals look at that not even one drop. You just lifted your not even one drop

[01:01:47] Brad your gels that right

[01:01:49] Oh, that's the trailer horn

[01:01:55] That's new and I don't like it. I love it. No, no

[01:01:59] Guys the trailer horn just went just literally go

[01:02:04] That's the trailer you made up a sound first of all

[01:02:08] It's a new season. It's a new season. He gets to do it's not a new season

[01:02:12] Wait, it was a new season?

[01:02:16] In no way shape or form. It is first of all, do we have seasons?

[01:02:21] Also, it was a new season of the 10 to 1. It's fall. So you forgot what podcast you're on

[01:02:26] It's it's literally this is when new seasons start the fall. Yeah. Oh my god. And no, I didn't say and there's no

[01:02:32] There's a new wuga. I didn't say a wuga the trailer horn went off and that's the sound it makes

[01:02:38] He hit the button and the button went off little watch little watch a trailer's little watch

[01:02:44] Little watch a trailer's brand

[01:02:47] Ben is here too little watch little watch a trailer's now

[01:02:52] It's pretty good. Not bad. We had been drinking more often. You joined you. What yeah, I'm so happy that after the first

[01:02:59] iteration of that I heard two claps and I'm like

[01:03:02] That's what that's what Nate does the brand magic sounds like. Yeah, it is and I wish I had that support

[01:03:08] All the time. It's just that tonight for some reason Nate decided to be a friend

[01:03:11] No, it's that if you would try and you would lean into doing the song you would get musical support that comes up naturally

[01:03:17] Could you tell what I was doing though? Yeah, okay. Thank god spider-man right a lot of times

[01:03:22] I'll do I'm like what the fuck was that in my head. I'm like I tried really hard

[01:03:26] No, you did a great job there. I'm really proud of you

[01:03:28] We watched two new trailers for movies that are on the way

[01:03:32] The first trailer

[01:03:34] That we watched do you don't remember

[01:03:37] No, let him go. Let him go. I like to lean into the suspense. Don't save him. Yeah now the invisible man

[01:03:44] The invisible man. No, uh ballerina from the world of john wick

[01:03:49] This is a spin-off of the john wick franchises that focuses on a new character played by

[01:03:56] Some would say a bit derivative

[01:03:59] The movie or her

[01:04:00] The movie I mean because she's literally derivative of other people who her parents

[01:04:06] Okay, neat try and keep up

[01:04:09] Get four drinks in your sober. I think I think you just did a google image church about a d. Armist. He's distracted

[01:04:14] He just know what you know it is. He just searched on an Amherst parents. He's like, oh, okay

[01:04:19] Okay, Pamela d. Armist and ronda and they're probably our age by the way

[01:04:25] Yeah, that's probably true. That's actually a little bit like let's move on

[01:04:28] So so this is set in the world of john wick

[01:04:30] It's it's set between john wick movies because john wick is still alive as we see at the end of this trailer and

[01:04:36] He meets the the character played by anna de armist

[01:04:40] She's an assassin. She's badass. She's she's cool. We see characters like

[01:04:45] Ian mcshane and lance reddick are also in this movie the action looks great. It has the same neon soaked visual style

[01:04:53] stunts are still in full swing

[01:04:55] It doesn't feel like a cheap and spin-off

[01:04:58] It feels like a cool story that is still set in the world of john wick and not like the continental series that was on

[01:05:03] peacock off all fair

[01:05:05] I was like, oh, this is drew just like it's not I was fucking around

[01:05:08] This is not at all like that series that I actually had no interest in because they they were

[01:05:14] Like stunt casting mel Gibson in that

[01:05:17] And for you to turn down a mel Gibson show

[01:05:21] This this is great the trailer if you haven't seen it

[01:05:24] Walks you through exactly who it's a red sparrow. Yeah type feel

[01:05:29] But then at the end

[01:05:30] Kiana Reeves shows up in the trailer

[01:05:32] Yeah, that lens right there all of the legitimacy that I need right to be on board to go like go to the theater to see this

[01:05:38] There's a big difference with like I if I didn't see him in the trailer. I probably wouldn't see in the theater

[01:05:43] I just wouldn't it's not a job. It's my favorite franchise

[01:05:46] In a long time and I love what they're doing with it

[01:05:49] But now I will absolutely see this quote unquote spin-off and I don't know it's just like um a companion

[01:05:55] Movie. Yeah, now now it's now it's rogue one

[01:05:59] You know in in the pantheon of of star wars rather than just a spin-off right and I like that Nate. How about you?

[01:06:07] Here's the thing

[01:06:09] If you put

[01:06:12] No boy in a film

[01:06:14] Also, by the way, and just I never liked the way he said it

[01:06:17] On the down. Yeah, it's just it feels like your

[01:06:21] Gargling salt water

[01:06:24] And not like your salt deodorant water. Yeah, no

[01:06:28] Yeah, it just feels

[01:06:30] It's almost like you're trying to add a roll to it, but you don't know where to put it that's it

[01:06:35] Oh, thank you. I was trying to figure out what he's doing. He's trying to really do the r-roll but all over

[01:06:42] But it's

[01:06:44] Captain crunch with a mouth

[01:06:47] Trying to say it

[01:06:48] I don't know

[01:06:49] And a dearmus

[01:06:51] Hey, can I get a hey? Let me get that quassadilla

[01:06:55] Let me get a

[01:06:56] Hey, yeah

[01:06:59] Compoyo

[01:06:59] Come on. We tried the new on a dearmus at Taco Bell

[01:07:04] Man so much cheese

[01:07:07] Anyway, uh, there's a couple things. Uh, really love

[01:07:11] On a dearmus

[01:07:12] I love it

[01:07:15] I

[01:07:16] Don't love Norman Reedus and he's a great villain and he's a great person to have to hate in the in a film or in a

[01:07:22] I hope that in the pantheon of the film

[01:07:26] Uh, it's it's like somebody made him wear a wig in in the in the movie

[01:07:30] But like a bowl cut because it's just not do you see the hair?

[01:07:34] It's insane. Like that's just like that's just dumb his hair always looks like that. No, it doesn't at all

[01:07:39] What's wrong with his hair? It was so fake. Why?

[01:07:42] Ugh

[01:07:43] Just like do better. That's all I'm saying seems like you're being mean so I'm excited about this

[01:07:47] I can't wait to see it. I'm very excited about this. I am very excited about this or on pika when it comes

[01:07:55] Okay, great. Uh the next trailer we watched is

[01:07:59] sinners

[01:08:00] A new movie from ryan coogler the director of black panther and creed and fruitville station

[01:08:06] Yes, that's true. And this one also smartphone

[01:08:09] Star yes, no fruitville station was not a well for some people it was

[01:08:15] More of an action. I never saw it

[01:08:17] You should it's great. Yeah, I understand why you do you'll probably won't like it as much because it's kind of anti police

[01:08:24] I was just

[01:08:26] Fuck will you the minority fuck you both? I was just about to say I have no idea what it's about because I don't even I don't even know

[01:08:34] Of course, you know, it wouldn't make it

[01:08:36] Oh, here we go

[01:08:38] Here we go. No, uh fruitville station heard of the film black panther. Yes, it's the opposite of that

[01:08:45] Boo

[01:08:46] No, you should I'll maybe I'll sign it to you sometime because that is a very good movie

[01:08:49] Um, but this is uh completely different movie

[01:08:53] It's the sinners is a horror movie

[01:08:54] The trailer doesn't really want you to know it because vampire movies have been doing that great at the box office

[01:08:59] But this is a vampire movie

[01:09:01] Uh, it is very stylish

[01:09:03] It is also

[01:09:04] Set in a cool period that you don't typically see vampire movies set in which is a lot of fun

[01:09:08] It also has michael b jordan in the lead role who is just as big cakey as always

[01:09:14] Oh my gosh, his arms are in that trailer characters themselves when when he's pointing whatever gun with the sleeveless shirt on him

[01:09:21] What the fuck is he like these bigger than creed? Yeah, honestly

[01:09:26] Uh, one of the things I loved about this trailer is that I had no idea what was happening

[01:09:30] Yeah, like obviously I thought this is a first side. This is a period piece

[01:09:35] These are gangsters, right and it's gonna go bad because they are black men in probably in the south

[01:09:40] And it looks like it's gonna turn into something racial or or maybe it's it's an important period piece

[01:09:45] And then all of a sudden it starts to become more like of a of a thriller

[01:09:49] And the trailer walks you down this path that you don't know where and then eventually you're like, oh

[01:09:54] Fuck this is a straight up horror film. Yeah, and I still didn't I didn't know honestly that it was still

[01:09:59] A you don't see they don't do that to you think we're like one of the characters shows fangs

[01:10:04] They just

[01:10:05] Back into a barn and they're all cocking guns and it felt a little bit

[01:10:11] Dust-tilled on ish. Yeah, wait because they're film. Yeah, I can't and I love dust a lot honestly

[01:10:17] Wait till the next trailer where they're like, I'm Edward cullen

[01:10:20] like

[01:10:21] What the hell no, but this is twilight

[01:10:24] This is a great teaser because it sets up a per a vibe for the movie without giving too much away

[01:10:29] And even if you're you find out that vampires rent it it doesn't ruin it. No, no now that I know that

[01:10:34] I'm like, oh, that's what they're fighting that that's the thing they're all looking at

[01:10:37] But it really doesn't ruin it for me because now I want to see what what happens. No exactly so thank kanda forever

[01:10:43] Good

[01:10:44] No

[01:10:49] All right. Well, you know what don't worry. I'll try again soon. Uh, when does sinners come out Nate?

[01:10:55] Sinners comes out March 7th

[01:10:57] 2025

[01:10:59] And they should um come to theaters everywhere. What about ballerina? That's next year too, isn't it? Uh, yeah, but since i'm in june

[01:11:06] What kind of thank ever is it june or is it january? No, just just not even

[01:11:12] Not gonna say no to that one

[01:11:14] Black fangther black fangther. Yeah. Yeah, that's the world of john wick ballerina comes out june 6

[01:11:20] Wow, that's further out than I thought jone wick

[01:11:25] No, nothing

[01:11:26] Well, we tried and by we I mean I'm the only one trying

[01:11:30] But are you though?

[01:11:32] Yeah, this is the best I have. This is the best you have

[01:11:35] Yeah, after three and a half drinks you want that you want that on the record

[01:11:38] After three and a half drinks sure so do you think hailey steinfeld who is not in the trailer?

[01:11:42] I couldn't find her in the trailer

[01:11:44] Do you think she's one of the vampires?

[01:11:46] Oh, yeah, she's the queen. No, I think she's playing the same character from true grit but grown up

[01:11:51] No the same age they just and they don't even try to deager

[01:11:55] She just is trying to play a teenager at 27. She still looks very yeah, I mean

[01:11:59] I was saying all that I was like well. Yeah, this isn't going anywhere. That's not nonsense much like most my jokes

[01:12:04] It's not like Arnold Schwarzenegger playing a 20 year old

[01:12:06] I would pay to see that. I'll bet you would creep

[01:12:11] Why is that creepy? He's legal

[01:12:14] Oh

[01:12:14] If I give the justify it makes it worse

[01:12:17] Well, no

[01:12:19] I would like to date you Ben, please wait are you

[01:12:23] He's a dating person by the way that is fanfic for when he's so if he's playing 20 year old

[01:12:28] He's trying to date you. Yeah a 43 year old man come with me if you want to fuck me

[01:12:34] Hey guys, do you guys want to play a quick game or no? Yes. Yeah, whatever gets us out of this

[01:12:38] Okay, um, I have a game called you don't want to know what chopper means in my universe here

[01:12:44] This is a game about the film. You know what no tell me

[01:12:50] It's Arnold Schwarzenegger's 20 year old vagina

[01:12:55] What that's his chopper

[01:12:57] He has a vagina in this in this universe in this universe. Yes

[01:13:02] This was way worse than I anticipated and it's metal covered by

[01:13:07] human

[01:13:08] Skin

[01:13:11] What is he's cracking himself up? It doesn't even make any fucking sense

[01:13:15] He's using it. I'm gonna give us I have not been listening

[01:13:19] Nate be thankful because what I thought he was gonna say a chopper was was Arnold Schwarzenegger

[01:13:25] Just wagging his dick around as if it were a helicopter blade most men do but yeah, though

[01:13:30] It's an exo skillet uncovered by human skin

[01:13:33] That's a vagina

[01:13:34] Ha

[01:13:36] Nate let's play your game. Okay, this is a game about chuck norris

[01:13:42] Jean-Claude van Damme

[01:13:44] And stephen segal. I was gonna say that's an awful coincidence. I was gonna get that game together while we were recording

[01:13:50] We all looked at him like what are you typing the whole time?

[01:13:54] Well, it's a game about jackie jen bruce lee

[01:13:57] and chuck norris and

[01:13:59] This game is I'm gonna give you a question ben then I'll give brad a question. You don't have to try and buzz

[01:14:06] Okay

[01:14:07] And the person with the most points wins the podcast

[01:14:10] They win they get to own it. Yeah, they win the dominant voice of the podcast this episode. Oh, okay. All right, so

[01:14:19] Yeah, let's start with

[01:14:22] Brad all right question one

[01:14:25] Which chuck norris film features him?

[01:14:28] Back that I asked you to name three then he said you said dodge ball

[01:14:33] and side kicks with

[01:14:36] jonathan

[01:14:38] Mathis what's his name? Yeah, I think that's right a kid that died. All right. All right, but and then ben you could steal this

[01:14:44] No, no, I love this. I love so much. This is so apropos. Yep. Which chuck norris movie film features him as a texas ranger

[01:14:52] With the nickname

[01:14:54] lone wolf

[01:14:58] isn't it

[01:14:59] lone wolf

[01:15:01] It is not

[01:15:03] What is it?

[01:15:05] You know, I actually don't

[01:15:08] close

[01:15:09] lone wolf macquade

[01:15:13] There's a last name there brad that last name makes the character far less cool the film

[01:15:20] Who's after you lone wolf? What's his last name?

[01:15:23] macquade that is literally

[01:15:25] Finkelstein

[01:15:29] lone wolf briar patches after you

[01:15:33] I hope you're not a buddy running through the forest

[01:15:37] All right, ben

[01:15:40] In which movie does jon claude van damme play a character named frank ducks?

[01:15:46] It's frank duke's in his kickboxer who could be in an underground martial arts

[01:15:50] It's frank duke because he's french and is what what kickboxer

[01:15:55] Nope. Oh, sorry bloodsport. Oh no, he got it wrong though that he fucked that one up

[01:16:00] Brad is it bloodsport? That is correct. Brad gets a point. Whoo frank ducks

[01:16:07] Fuck you both

[01:16:09] All right, brad back to you

[01:16:11] Steven seagull starting this film about a former cia operative who battles jamaican drug dealers named the film

[01:16:19] I'm so bad with steven seagull movies too. I'll bet you know

[01:16:22] Uh

[01:16:29] Jamaican drug dealers. Yeah

[01:16:31] Former cia agent above suspicion. No

[01:16:46] Do you have you seen the east team of seagull films?

[01:16:52] Yeah, of course. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah

[01:16:55] I've seen and honestly I've probably seen every

[01:16:58] um every bandam movie from

[01:17:02] cyborg up to the quest

[01:17:05] And seagull probably under siege up to on deadly ground

[01:17:12] Uh, I'm gonna say this film was a back's office success the glimmer man

[01:17:18] No, this film is called marked for mark for death. Have you ever seen it? Oh, yeah

[01:17:24] Yeah, I'm on

[01:17:26] Ben

[01:17:27] All right, I will give you the title and you must identify which actor starred in each film. Oh, here we go. Yeah, like this

[01:17:36] All right, ben. Yeah back to you

[01:17:39] hard target

[01:17:41] Hard target is a bandam

[01:17:43] Correct

[01:17:45] brad

[01:17:46] Delta force that's chagnarius. Yeah

[01:17:50] Ben under siege come on. That's seagull

[01:17:53] All right

[01:17:56] What character this is character identification

[01:18:00] What character did chagnarius portray in walker texas ranger ranger walker texas ranger

[01:18:07] No, what's his name though walker

[01:18:11] What's his full name texas ranger?

[01:18:15] Uh, no, it's uh john walker mcquigg

[01:18:22] Uh walker

[01:18:24] Do you think this is first name?

[01:18:27] Do you think that walker is his first name? No, no. Have you ever seen that episode of walker texas ranger?

[01:18:32] I've I've seen these are cunard o' brian

[01:18:34] I've seen more episodes of walker texas ranger than you guys have because my grandma used to watch it all the time

[01:18:40] And you don't know his first name. No, because I don't pay attention. I thought it was walker

[01:18:43] I think it's john walker

[01:18:44] No

[01:18:45] Yeah, it's because I put it at your brain. No, no, I knew that was last

[01:18:48] Have you ever seen an episode of walker texas ranger ben?

[01:18:50] No, I've seen only the clips where cunard o' brian on a late night with cunard o' brian had a walker texas ranger lever

[01:18:57] And he would pull it and it would show a random clip of walker texas ranger the best one

[01:19:02] Uh speaking of people who've died of diabetes. There's a clip of hailey jill osmond as a young boy. Oh, he's still living

[01:19:08] No, no

[01:19:10] That's great. I'll give you that

[01:19:12] But wilfer brimley isn't all right, but you guys did you got to beat us and uh and cunard pulls the lever

[01:19:18] And i'm doing this as a service. So just look up, you know hailey jill osmond walker texas ranger clip cunard o' brian

[01:19:26] All that's a mouthful. It's worth it. He pulls the lever they show the clip and he's like, uh

[01:19:33] Wilfer brimley goes how's your day or something like that?

[01:19:36] walker told me that uh, and then wilfer brimley goes well i'll be damned

[01:19:40] And then it cuts back to hailey jullism and he goes walker told me I have aids

[01:19:45] And then it cuts and cunard o' brian gets up from his desk and walks away

[01:19:49] And it's the funniest fucking thing i've ever seen

[01:19:53] In my whole life the walk from the desk to like staring at the fake window

[01:19:57] Like he just doesn't know what this world is

[01:20:00] It's the funniest thing i've ever seen in my whole

[01:20:03] It's amazing

[01:20:04] By the way, i'm gonna guess I really do want to know comment in in the post of this

[01:20:09] Uh listeners if anyone here knows what the name of actual walker texas ranger is
