Ben, Brad, and Nate love movies, and movies love them back. This week, on a very special episode, Ben didn't watch his assigned movie again, and he has the nerve to tell Brad that his Christopher Walken impression isn't very good, even though he wasn't trying to do an impression of Christopher Walken. Shame. Thankfully, we get back on track with some other movie chatter about Teen Wolf, The Craft, and Boiler Room again somehow because Nate can't read or remember things. Plus, we talk about the trailers for Garfield (HE'S NOT NAMED LASAGNA!), Bikeriders (IT'S A VOICE-OFF!), and Challengers (ZENDAYA GETS IT!).
Are you looking for the Indiana Sound Machine, because it's right here!

[00:00:00] Hey Everybody, It's another episode of Go Flix Yourself.
[00:00:19] My name is Ben Connois and with me as always is the indecudent of my Sateva, Bradford
[00:00:26] Roman. Hey, that's me. And the, you know what? The cocaine to my whatever I just said,
[00:00:34] Nate Laux. Cocaina. Just really good stuff. Good stuff. Welcome to all drugs episode of
[00:00:44] Go Flix Yourself where we'll be doing cocaine and weed the entire time. We love doing a
[00:00:48] marriage one. All the marriage one. I'm cocaine. This is not going to surprise anybody but
[00:00:53] I've not done a lot of drugs. Have you guys done the ayahuasca yet? No, no, I would love
[00:00:57] to give myself a trip like that though. Would you because I feel like I would find out
[00:01:02] some stuff about myself that I'm not ready to deal with yet? I went through like one year
[00:01:07] in 18, like 18 and 19. One year of ayahuasca? I know where I was just high all the time.
[00:01:13] Like 18 just marijuana. 18 and 19. I just I smoked a lot of weed. Okay. That was your
[00:01:17] job. That was my thing. And that was impressive too because back when Ben was 18 and 19,
[00:01:20] weed was like dangerous. Yeah, it had sticks in it. Yeah. It was Indian a ditch weed and
[00:01:26] it was just not very potent. Indian a ditch weed is maybe the laziest Indiana Jones spin
[00:01:30] off that they did. Indian a ditch weed and the temple of ditch weed. It's again, it's
[00:01:34] very very very rebeller. Long marquee title. You don't want to be the guy hand to doing
[00:01:39] the suction cup with the letter. And back then you had to. Yeah, I did a lot of letter
[00:01:43] second back in the day when I went to the theater. Keep it a little peep. You know what
[00:01:47] with the letters that suck the most L the D's. No, no, no, we got anyway. One time
[00:01:56] we had to put a boy putting Borat up on the marquee. The word borat. The full title. Oh,
[00:02:02] no, just kidding. That would be hilarious. Just kidding guys. That's just good joke.
[00:02:07] That's just one of the jokes you can expect from go flick yourself. A podcast from hopefully
[00:02:11] on NBC from the makers of don't wake daddy. Anson or pants and don't wake daddy guys
[00:02:20] trouble, trouble. It's fun getting in trouble. It's a podcast and we had honestly two
[00:02:24] very silly episodes right in row. I'm hoping to get serious. Hey guys, as your dad ever
[00:02:32] said he loves you on a very special go Brad. No, I said I don't want to have your baby
[00:02:40] as your father in your life told you that he loves you. My father's dead. Did he used
[00:02:45] to do I'm already apologizing to the listener. I know. Don't apologize for something that
[00:02:54] you're proud of. The fact that my dad doesn't tell me it loves me. No, your dad tells
[00:02:58] you he does. Yeah, my father tells me get your dad doesn't like my dad does all the time
[00:03:01] he's awesome. He's turned a corner. You know, he seems really kind in his old days. He
[00:03:05] he grew into it. It took 70. It took 66 years and he finally was like, you know I love
[00:03:15] you right? And then I'm like, you could just drop the you know part. And then it's 68
[00:03:20] years old. He's like, I love you. And I was like, what? Hey, Ben, you're who else loves
[00:03:24] you? Jesus Jesus Christ. Okay. Super star. But this is a this is a movie comedy podcast
[00:03:33] that is sponsored every week. It's a movie comedy podcast. Just a movie podcast. We're
[00:03:36] also if people if people have more power to them, no, I just I defend it because you say
[00:03:40] you say it's a TV podcast. And so I want to make it. No, but also like we have jokes. Yeah,
[00:03:44] jokes. But we don't we don't go out of our way to like make jokes maybe Ben does maybe
[00:03:48] he's a writer and trying to come up with bits that he gets to force upon the people.
[00:03:52] But we just like to have natural conversations. But we also like to have a fun time which
[00:03:56] is most movie podcasts like on slash film daily. You guys don't have fun. We have fun. Yeah
[00:04:00] you're not doing. Whatever I'm on slash from daily, I'm doing bits. No, you're not. I've heard
[00:04:04] it. That's a lot given you even heard the ones that I've done all that I have not heard about
[00:04:08] you never know why would you listen to any of them? He's that on. Yes, seriously. That's
[00:04:12] a good point. I only listen to what he said. I only listen to you. Okay. So we have a sponsor
[00:04:19] every week and this is this is true. These companies spend thousands if not millions of dollars
[00:04:24] to sponsor the spot. We're allowed to do this. That's how we can do it for living. It is
[00:04:29] the easiest shop in the world. You know, and we're blessed. We're blessed all three of us
[00:04:33] by who buy the sponsor? Jesus. By the sponsor. So Brad, do we have a sponsor this week? And
[00:04:39] if so, who gave us $100,000 this week? Let me ask you something. I don't like the
[00:04:46] cupping of the mic. This has never happened. I'm not a fan. Ben listen. Oh, this is uncomfortable
[00:04:52] man. What do you? What do you think about pancakes? Like why did you ask me that? Like
[00:04:57] what are you wearing? What do you think of pancakes? Good. You go for free. I can go for
[00:05:05] your flat. I know we some syrup. Love it. They never get a flat. They never get a
[00:05:12] lot. I enjoy I enjoy a good pancake. I like French toast better, but I enjoy a good pancake.
[00:05:19] What about crepes past? I love crepes. Really? A little sweetness, a little little taste of cream.
[00:05:25] You like those hot cakes though? I love them. My girlfriend in high school, her mother made
[00:05:32] crepes and they were delicious. But then I went to restaurants to get them and they're
[00:05:37] terrible because those homemade ones were the best ones I've ever had. So I've never
[00:05:40] had, you know, shout out to Jan Ryberty, best crepes in La Port County. Well, crepes are
[00:05:46] kind of a pancake, but they have stuff in them. Thanks Nate. So as you know, yeah, the pancakes
[00:05:52] are stuff in them. That's like stuff. We're just talking down to the audience. I'm like, by
[00:05:56] the way idiots, crepes are basically pancakes with shit in them. What are Johnny cakes? What are
[00:05:59] Johnny cakes? Johnny cakes is what you call your son Johnny in 1952. Guys, how do you feel about
[00:06:07] I hop? I mean we have one. I feel like for some reason it's dirtier than waffle house and
[00:06:15] that's saying something. I don't know about that. I've never seen fights break out of
[00:06:20] it. I think that like waffle house is like more more like just you know what you're getting
[00:06:24] into and I hop you like you sit down and you're like, wow, why is the table sticky? It shouldn't
[00:06:27] be. There's so much syrup. Yeah. I mean, it's a house of pancakes. But like it waffles
[00:06:32] is expected. They're going to be syrup. They're going to be a syrup everywhere. What do
[00:06:35] you think? What comes to mind is the better restaurant? I hop or Denny's food or I would
[00:06:41] go to an I have or on beyond quality. Just go to an I hop over Denny's. No, no, I like
[00:06:47] those Denny's over. Yeah, yeah. The last Denny's experience I had was in a neighboring town
[00:06:52] of our listeners Michigan city and it was pretty rough. The I hop here in Michigan city
[00:06:57] is rough but edible. And that was the difference between the two rough but edible. The Nate
[00:07:04] Locke story. Okay. What are we doing Nate? Quit touching the bag like that buddy. Oh man,
[00:07:10] he's got to squeeze his airbag. All right, you're going to pop open this bag. Don't you dare
[00:07:16] look at the front. Just take a nice. Take some out of there. I know I haven't. I just
[00:07:23] opened the bag. You just saw me open the bag. No, let go. I can't reach it. The chips are
[00:07:28] the bottom of the bag. Geez. It's one of those bags where it has like seven chips even
[00:07:34] though to full bag. Dumlo. What is it? Dumlo. Look at him. That's what he is. All right, everyone
[00:07:41] get ready to crisp in the chips. That'll that'll awaken your senses. That's very confusing.
[00:07:51] I did. It's confusing. It very much feels don't chew into the microphone. That was him. Stop it.
[00:08:00] Both of you people legitimately don't like that. Oh my god. I'm one person. I'm sorry guys.
[00:08:12] It is no it takes yeah, it tastes like it tastes like pancakes. It's our
[00:08:16] Ta-da. Is that the grand reveal? I have presents lays for the chips. Is that what this is? Hey man. Oh
[00:08:24] my god. It's like he's a crisp and an apple. That's how crunchy it is. These are I hops
[00:08:29] Rudy Judy fresh and fruity strawberry topped pancakes with serpent and they're like and
[00:08:35] they're potato chips from ways. No, I was so excited when I finally took him out and I was so glad
[00:08:41] I found them for the for the podcast. I do I do chase a little strawberry. Yeah, I don't know
[00:08:46] that it tastes the bacon. No, I think the bacon comes into the very end. The strawberries the most
[00:08:50] prominent and the best smell is like strawberry. Very strong. Yeah, that does. Yeah. And then
[00:08:54] yeah, and then the syrup comes through like in the middle but the strawberries definitely the strongest
[00:08:58] flavor. Serp bacon. I could go for like a chip with that but the strawberry I'm not big fan of.
[00:09:04] They were bad. No, it definitely like I said it awakens your senses. Yeah, I bet you're
[00:09:09] immediately it's like oh tangy chip. Okay. Hello. And then sweet and savory. All right. So anyway
[00:09:14] well thanks. I hop in Lays for making this weird delicious Rudy Judy fresh and fruity.
[00:09:18] Brett what's the uh what's the what's the movie that you saw last? What's what's the
[00:09:24] what's the mood? What's the what's the what what what what what what what what what what what what what
[00:09:27] what's the good you couldn't see Brett doing a DJ move there but that was a DJ move there. We can we
[00:09:35] uh the last movie I saw yeah was assigned to me by my good friend Nate. Mm-hmm. He reached
[00:09:39] way back into the late 90s and gave me a movie that I hadn't seen. It awakened something to me when
[00:09:45] I saw this movie. I bet it did. I bet I better to wake in the lot of things in you with all the
[00:09:50] uh school uniforms and Nev Campbell and uh she was hot back then. Oh my gosh scream no this is
[00:09:59] the craft. Oh where uh if I so if everybody wants some is a movie with just dudes being dudes
[00:10:07] this movie is just which is being which is yeah it really is just which is being which is
[00:10:11] they're just they're just using magic to like mess mess with people and just like getting a little
[00:10:16] sassy changing the hair color. Changing the hair color all of a sudden showing some skin because
[00:10:20] they don't know have uh have burns anymore um so yeah it's just these uh three teenage women sassy
[00:10:29] witches who are like into witchcrafts and like that and then this new girl comes along and they
[00:10:34] feel like this connection with her and she has some like little you know powers of a
[00:10:38] role and so they become this like covenant of witches and uh put spells and some of their people
[00:10:43] in school and yeah it's like it's it's gonna happen to Robin Tunie. She didn't do a lot and then
[00:10:47] she she's she's still around I think like she still pops every now and then but yeah because she's
[00:10:52] like she had like a couple years where she was a pretty big deal. She had her she had her moment um
[00:10:57] what was like uh kind of like Claire for for Lonnie. Oh Empire Records remember? Yeah. And Sino Man Empire Records
[00:11:04] the craft and then nothing. But then nothing. Did I ever talk about Empire Records on this podcast?
[00:11:09] You don't like it right? Yeah I didn't like it. I love Empire Records. I hated it. Why?
[00:11:14] I just didn't it didn't feel like it had like the authenticity of like one of those movies that
[00:11:19] should be like like reality bites yeah or clerks no it's so good it's so good. No I was really
[00:11:25] annoyed by it. I actually thought all the characters were despicable too. Live Tyler's. So the minions
[00:11:30] were in it? Yeah. So and then not a minion. What if I ever have a diffuruza? What if I ever have a
[00:11:38] diffuruza? Bulk. She did water boy. Yeah exactly. He's an almost famous. Yes she was almost famous.
[00:11:45] Oh yeah she did. Yeah it was almost famous. No she was almost famous. No I mean she's famous for
[00:11:49] a little. What did you think? I have Rudy Tuti fresh and food. Did you like the movie?
[00:11:56] Uh yeah I liked it for what it was as far as like a 90s movie you know it's got a little bit of
[00:12:00] it's very 90. A little bit of camp to it um it's it's got a very 90 soundtrack you know. Better
[00:12:05] worse than boiler room. It better than boiler room because like it's it's not taking itself to
[00:12:10] you seriously. I don't think boiler room tastes like this. No it's the problem in days those
[00:12:14] years ago is enough. The dog of Wall Street. The junior bear of Wall Street. What? Junior bear
[00:12:24] like a tiny bear. Like a color bear? No like a cub. The cub of Wall Street? Yeah okay. This has
[00:12:32] been fun. Yeah I watched another weird one actually. I watched Teen Wolf for the first time.
[00:12:40] With my first one is personal why and second of all okay talk it. Well first of all you know
[00:12:44] what Teen Wolf's about? Yes I do. Yeah it's about a teenager. Who finds that he's a wolf?
[00:12:50] The werewolf yeah. And I've never seen it and I like Michael DeFox and I was like well if there's
[00:12:54] anybody who convinced me. What like you just stumble across this or do you think in your mind
[00:12:59] you know what you know what I've never seen Teen Wolf. I'm gonna put that on. It was on my list on
[00:13:03] max. I was scrolling through stuff to watch it was a 90 minute breeze. I like Michael DeFox.
[00:13:08] I'm a big fan of liking throats and it's a 42% run run tomatoes. Yeah it's
[00:13:16] I honestly like I miss the days of when you could have a movie like this and not really explain
[00:13:24] anything and just let it happen. Yeah and the stakes aren't very high. Yeah it's just like
[00:13:28] Michael DeFox realizes he's a werewolf his dad's like yeah that's where werewolves.
[00:13:33] The family business. Yeah and then all of a sudden they're not like there's not a vampire hunter
[00:13:38] or werewolf I'm trying to kill him. Right and he doesn't really have to face any adversity too
[00:13:41] all of a sudden the high school is like oh fuck yeah. It's a werewolf in our school. And is it
[00:13:46] styles? Is that the guy that's got the glasses in this one? Yeah yes. Is it Robert and
[00:13:51] Danny Jr.? No. No no what's that one? That's a different. Yeah he's really where he's. Yeah but
[00:13:56] is it styles? I think that's what it's not. Yeah he wears sunglasses at night basically and like
[00:14:00] rides on the top of the van. Yeah yeah yeah. And it's just like yeah I know and he's the hype man
[00:14:05] for the demon. You know it's just also he's just tremendous a basketball. Yeah I just
[00:14:10] Jerry Levine is play styles and did he have any career after that whatsoever? No. I just
[00:14:16] watched that they still like made movies like this. Like I would love it if they just made
[00:14:20] comedies where you bought into something and it was just silly and fun and I mean they are right
[00:14:25] like Disney and Netflix released some of those type of film. They didn't do any kind of backstory
[00:14:32] it was just really lazy. No but there's a balance though because like for example national
[00:14:38] ampune's animal house. There's no real primary conflict or anything to overcome except not
[00:14:44] getting expelled. Well that is the primary. But they're not even actively trying to avoid that
[00:14:48] they're just get it's just a series of high jinks that get them into more and more trouble like
[00:14:52] they're not trying like in van wilder they give him a plot he has to like make enough money
[00:14:57] to stay in school because his dad isn't going to pay for anymore then he has to figure out how
[00:15:02] to graduate on time or else get expelled from school. They give they even give van wilder you know
[00:15:07] more plot whereas like I miss the days of chaos comedies like even something like stripes stripes
[00:15:11] is a very similar example where there's no real like story driving it. It's just it's like you're
[00:15:17] going to kick out of the military and that's not necessarily the biggest deal to him in first place
[00:15:21] yeah no one cares but he's like I like the minister I want to stay here but then something does
[00:15:25] happen where he's got to kind of pull it together and like make something happen but but there's
[00:15:29] no the states are made it's not nuclear war though. Yeah and the states aren't made to be major
[00:15:34] and it's even like they don't even spend most of the time like thinking about it talking about
[00:15:37] they're just on a series of misadventures you know that and every now and then they were
[00:15:41] reminded of that. So yeah that's that's the thing I wish they would do stuff like that more often
[00:15:45] now because they're the end of the year. I watched the reason I was kind of on my Michael Day Fox
[00:15:51] kick a little bit is because I also watched Atlantis the Lost Empire which is the animated movie
[00:15:56] that came out from Disney around the same time that Treasure Planet did similar kind of animation
[00:16:01] style and I was hoping that I would have the same kind of like oh wow this is actually pretty cool
[00:16:07] like Treasure Planet but the story isn't as good as it should be. It kind of doesn't make a lot
[00:16:14] of sense once you start thinking about it not that it's stupid it doesn't seem like it's very well
[00:16:18] thought out as far like the mythology and how it plays out and everything but the animation
[00:16:25] is particularly cool there's a lot of great 2D animation in it the production design is very cool
[00:16:31] and it's a it's a fun idea but it's just the the adventures not capitalized on I think well
[00:16:36] enough to really be all that memorable. And it makes me miss the days of when they were a lot better at
[00:16:41] matching actors to voices like they weren't you know going for tons of big names or anything
[00:16:46] you have these just great voice actors doing characters that are very cool. No you look at the names
[00:16:50] in this it's it's a who's isn't John Mahoney Jim Barney just did he was equal.
[00:16:58] Barney was awesome. Yeah he was just such a good Leonard Nimoy. Also I read an article about him after
[00:17:04] he passed it was years later but said that he because he was Ernest P. Whirl you know he of course
[00:17:11] was a huge smoker but he never ever ever was allowed to be he did I don't want photos taken
[00:17:17] may smoking I don't smoke around kids I don't smoke in public appearances he knew that it was
[00:17:21] his vice and he knew that he had a problem with it but he never wanted the kids to ever see
[00:17:26] that and be a bad influence and I think that that's commendable if not respectful. Hey I don't want to see
[00:17:30] me smoke and burn. That's not at all what Jim Barney said it was a Ernest. It was that an Ernest
[00:17:38] attempted Ernest. Yeah that was an Ernest impression. Yeah do it again. No I'm good no just try one more
[00:17:44] time. I don't want to do any smoke in there. I've earned. Yeah that's worth somehow even worse.
[00:17:50] Do you hear if you see team wolf two. Do you hear that's just a sound that's not doing a voice
[00:17:57] that's what he does. He talks though how does he talk as a character? I mean he's a smoker so he's
[00:18:02] talked like a smoker. He can't do it. He's in there like casting stones from his glass house.
[00:18:07] No I don't know they're what he we shouldn't go down that road. That's what I just did and also
[00:18:12] that was slinky dog. That was but that's his voice though. But not Ernest Ernest has a little different.
[00:18:17] I did I did I did I didn't ask you to do slinky dog. I didn't say hey be Jim Barney when he's in
[00:18:22] Toy Story. I said do the Ernest voice but I haven't seen him for a long time. Oh so you don't know
[00:18:26] how to do it either is that what you're saying? I mean did the you fucking idiot you know who does
[00:18:31] have a voice in Atlanta lost empire though is down novello who is father Guitars are doachie.
[00:18:39] Cool. You don't know that yeah from Sarah. I forget it. Yeah and he does like the same kind of voice
[00:18:45] but it matches like this. We're gonna go ahead and beat this devil in the leper con and we're
[00:18:51] good old fashioned me. Like I remember that from like one of the Ernest scares stupid ones.
[00:18:55] We're a me. I thought it was me. I can't it's milk. No just me. Good old fashioned me.
[00:19:00] I have to rewatch some of those films because I've not seen any Ernest. Forever. Yeah.
[00:19:04] As I've seen any Ernest film. There you go. How would you rank the Ernest films? Fronted back.
[00:19:10] Is Ernest scared stupid the best one? No Ernest goes to camp is the number one best one.
[00:19:17] I'm the kind of slam dunk Ernest. No but that's the one.
[00:19:20] The slam dunk Ernest is a real one with Kremler build on it. Listen I understand.
[00:19:24] But in I remember watching Ernest goes to camp as a kid and he's he sings his song
[00:19:32] and he's got his little turtle in his hand. He's like,
[00:19:36] GM Glad it's raining. Oh yeah. You can see the two drops in your eyes.
[00:19:41] Like crying. Yeah and I was a sad kid. I said that's so sad. They're so mean to Ernest.
[00:19:46] Like everybody hated it. So that was a good enough movie that like let's do 27 sequels.
[00:19:52] So let me go through. So in 1985, Dr. Otto and the riddle of the gloom beam here there's
[00:20:01] an unnamed cameo role for Ernest. Okay, okay so that's where Ernest is actually born.
[00:20:08] But the first film is where he's born. Yeah 87 Ernest goes to camp. 1988 Ernest saves Christmas.
[00:20:17] 1990 Ernest goes to jail. Do you guys remember that one? I do. I do. I've seen all these.
[00:20:22] That's the one but back then. That's the one where he went to jail. Oh boy.
[00:20:26] And the follow by Ernest goes to prison because he killed the guy at jail.
[00:20:29] No Ernest, Ernest scared stupid 1991. That makes sense. Then 1993 Ernest rides again.
[00:20:35] Oh I forgot about that. Then slam dunk Ernest. Nope. That 1994 Ernest goes to school.
[00:20:41] Whoa. I did not see Ernest go to school. Didn't see that coming. What?
[00:20:45] You didn't see Ernest go to school. That had a budget of $3 million. That's a lot of money,
[00:20:49] Ernest. And then the next three. The next three? There's what?
[00:20:55] The next three were all directive video. Slam dunk Ernest. Slam dunk Ernest.
[00:21:01] Starring Jim Barney and Kreme Abdul Jibbar. I know you did Brad. Thank you.
[00:21:06] And then Ernest goes to Africa. Oh that's right. Is that the Zell Hold Up?
[00:21:11] I'm just kidding. Yes not. Probably not. And then hip hop Ernest.
[00:21:17] Nope. 1998 Ernest Ernest. Oh Ernest in the army. Yeah.
[00:21:22] Oh yeah. I thought we were going to call it in the Ernest now but they did.
[00:21:26] You had a TV show. Did you guys know that? That's a porn.
[00:21:29] In the Ernest now. He had a TV show called Hey, Vern. It's Ernest.
[00:21:34] In 1988. Hey, Vern. It's Ernest. The importance of being Ernest.
[00:21:38] Okay, well, you know, the Albi winners especially that one.
[00:21:43] You know what? That's not a bad joke. There's one more movie I watched
[00:21:46] that I think you guys would love. Ernest goes to school.
[00:21:49] It is it was hilarious. B. J. Cullen Jello recommended to me on when we're talking on
[00:21:55] Slashroom podcast one day. Who is that? She's from Slashroom.
[00:21:58] It's called The Package. It's on Netflix. It's a 2018 comedy and we're talking about it
[00:22:05] because Geraldine Viswanathan from Drive-Aoydals and Blockers is in it.
[00:22:10] And it is oh, I've seen this. It is so funny. I've seen this.
[00:22:14] It has the vibe of like a super bad or something like that. It has a great young cast.
[00:22:20] Wait, wait, I saw this and started watching with my daughter and then
[00:22:25] turned it off. Oh, gross. And that was like five years ago.
[00:22:28] Yeah. And then she was turned it off.
[00:22:30] Sorry, when she was like 12.
[00:22:32] She was 10, probably. Yeah. But like thinking that it's like a kind of a silly teen comedy.
[00:22:38] It's a very silly teen comedy. But it is.
[00:22:40] But it is Dick gets cut off and there are several shots of the Dick cutoff.
[00:22:46] How many dick shots did you get through before you turned it off?
[00:22:48] Oh, I know. Like you know in the first like 10 minutes.
[00:22:51] This is not a movie for. Is it rated a hearthin?
[00:22:54] And he was like, I don't know because it seems like Netflix.
[00:22:57] It's not really. Yeah, it's not super.
[00:22:59] You don't really know like what films are rated.
[00:23:01] I mean to be fair.
[00:23:02] I'm pretty parenting.
[00:23:02] Yeah, it is.
[00:23:03] Oh, it's not even the worst thing.
[00:23:04] That was the worst thing I showed her that day.
[00:23:07] I will you do my face is a death.
[00:23:09] But I saw what we were going.
[00:23:10] Boogie nights.
[00:23:11] I didn't have seen this so.
[00:23:13] It is so funny.
[00:23:14] I was I was surprised by just how funny this movie.
[00:23:16] It's on your daughter. Don't leave the room.
[00:23:17] You need to learn.
[00:23:19] There was some really funny.
[00:23:20] Maybe by the same guy that did Mike and Dave need a wedding day.
[00:23:23] Yeah, Jake's the man to you who has a history with a funnier die.
[00:23:25] He's done some really good stuff.
[00:23:27] Oh, I totally forgot.
[00:23:28] And I can say me wedding dates.
[00:23:29] Not one of those really good things.
[00:23:30] But this movie just has it has the great report
[00:23:32] that you want out of teen comedies like this.
[00:23:35] Like they have a great like camaraderie between them.
[00:23:37] They have like funny lines.
[00:23:39] They say to each other and everything.
[00:23:40] Blake Anderson's in it.
[00:23:41] But it doesn't feel like it's trying to work.
[00:23:42] For more callics.
[00:23:43] Yeah, he's a smart part in it.
[00:23:46] No, actually most of the people aren't big right?
[00:23:49] Other than Geraldine.
[00:23:51] What is?
[00:23:52] Geraldine Vistwanathon.
[00:23:53] Yeah, she's probably become the biggest star.
[00:23:54] And even then she wasn't super famous when they did it.
[00:23:56] How? When did this come out?
[00:23:57] 2018.
[00:23:58] Got you.
[00:23:59] So yeah, you guys 17 years ago.
[00:24:00] Yeah, I'm gonna have to rewatch this.
[00:24:02] You guys would like it a lot.
[00:24:03] Okay, the package.
[00:24:04] It has a rotten tomato is really in 42%.
[00:24:07] Don't believe it.
[00:24:08] It's better.
[00:24:08] Yeah, it's way better than that.
[00:24:09] People didn't get it.
[00:24:10] I know we don't really.
[00:24:12] By the way, team move two.
[00:24:14] We didn't talk about that yet.
[00:24:15] Jason Bayman haven't seen it.
[00:24:16] Team move two.
[00:24:17] No.
[00:24:17] Are you going to watch it?
[00:24:18] Back in Jason Bayman's cocaine days.
[00:24:20] I don't know.
[00:24:21] Was he?
[00:24:22] Maybe just for that.
[00:24:23] I mean, probably not yet.
[00:24:26] His cocaine days, I think we're in like mid 20s to like early 40s.
[00:24:30] How old is Jason Bayman?
[00:24:31] And he's early to mid 50s.
[00:24:33] cocaine.
[00:24:34] 55 because he said 50.
[00:24:36] Sam Rockowicz was just he was, oh, we're about the same age.
[00:24:38] Oh, cocaine.
[00:24:40] Okay, buddy.
[00:24:43] Team move two.
[00:24:44] Not as good.
[00:24:45] I wouldn't know.
[00:24:46] You should watch it.
[00:24:47] I want to see three in wolf.
[00:24:49] You know what?
[00:24:49] Let's make that movie.
[00:24:50] Yeah.
[00:24:50] What?
[00:24:51] Timothy Schalemy and three in wolf.
[00:24:53] Tisha me Mala Shea.
[00:24:54] It would be, did they make a team with like TV show?
[00:24:57] Yeah, they did, but it was a way different vibe on MTV.
[00:24:59] Was it like serious?
[00:25:00] It was like a like a teen thriller kind of vibe.
[00:25:04] Because this is teen thriller.
[00:25:07] Thriller with teens.
[00:25:12] Ben was the last movie you watched you son of a bitch.
[00:25:14] I watched what's the Moana one?
[00:25:18] Listen, I just can't remember the title of it.
[00:25:20] He's being.
[00:25:20] I'm not being weird.
[00:25:21] I just can't remember the name.
[00:25:22] Naomi.
[00:25:22] Dismissive.
[00:25:23] Close.
[00:25:24] It's closer.
[00:25:24] He's better meta letters.
[00:25:26] What is I?
[00:25:27] I pulled it up on that flex and I watched it.
[00:25:30] I don't remember the title.
[00:25:30] You gave it to me, but I literally used it
[00:25:33] from the text message to search on that flex and I watch it.
[00:25:35] But I can't remember the title.
[00:25:36] It was the one with Nate was very dismissive about.
[00:25:39] I wasn't dismissive.
[00:25:40] Yeah, I watched that one, whatever.
[00:25:42] Are the stars no?
[00:25:44] Nairobi.
[00:25:46] I honestly don't remember.
[00:25:47] Nairobi.
[00:25:48] Is that Nairobi?
[00:25:49] No, that's a town.
[00:25:50] Nirmal.
[00:25:51] That's a character from Garfield.
[00:25:54] Are you sure?
[00:25:55] I am actually.
[00:25:57] Anyway, I watched the movie and I've looked to camera
[00:25:58] the title.
[00:25:59] Navarone.
[00:26:00] Sure.
[00:26:00] Guns of.
[00:26:01] Denavi.
[00:26:02] Yep, that was Avatar.
[00:26:03] It's called Nimona.
[00:26:05] I don't know if you're being serious.
[00:26:06] I am.
[00:26:07] So I watched Nimona.
[00:26:10] What year was it this come out?
[00:26:11] Like a year ago.
[00:26:12] Okay.
[00:26:13] It's not meant for.
[00:26:14] And I feel like it went.
[00:26:15] Brad watched it a couple of weeks ago and I told you to watch it
[00:26:18] because you hadn't seen it.
[00:26:18] I felt like it went under the radar a little bit.
[00:26:20] It was somewhat.
[00:26:21] It was I liked this.
[00:26:22] I liked it.
[00:26:24] I really like that.
[00:26:26] You can do anything with animation, obviously.
[00:26:28] I did like that they brought nights into the 21st or even the future basically.
[00:26:33] Not even in the 21st century but even further.
[00:26:35] So it's like this very respectable class of knighthood
[00:26:38] and a lot of tradition but like with smartphones and lasers
[00:26:42] and so that was a that dichotomy or that just was really cool.
[00:26:46] I really like that.
[00:26:48] And they did a lot of things that I wasn't expecting.
[00:26:49] There's a scene where one character is asking
[00:26:53] another character about her backstory
[00:26:54] and she tells this kind of story
[00:26:57] and about honestly 20 seconds into the story
[00:27:01] it just turns into like
[00:27:04] a joke on him for asking a stupid question.
[00:27:06] It's not the actual backstory you think you're going to get
[00:27:09] and it's that kind of playfulness
[00:27:11] it was marked throughout and I really did enjoy that part of it.
[00:27:17] Something that could have been very paint by numbers
[00:27:19] turned into something that was really enjoyable to watch.
[00:27:22] So we hosted a semi-life podcast called The Tendo One.
[00:27:27] There are two semi-life actors that are voice actors in this
[00:27:30] or former cast or current cast.
[00:27:32] Back then it.
[00:27:33] Yep.
[00:27:34] And yeah, I don't know.
[00:27:36] Sarah Sherman.
[00:27:38] Did not who's
[00:27:39] who's
[00:27:40] Coriander Caverish.
[00:27:43] Okay, yeah.
[00:27:43] Sounds good.
[00:27:44] Did you play Nimonah?
[00:27:46] No, it was very good.
[00:27:47] I highly recommend it.
[00:27:48] You watch with your kids.
[00:27:49] It's it's it's stylized
[00:27:52] not like Spider-Man across the Spiders or anything like that
[00:27:55] but there's a different animation style to it.
[00:27:58] It's a fun film.
[00:27:59] It is a sad short.
[00:28:01] I honestly thought that it was going to be longer.
[00:28:03] 17 minutes of credits.
[00:28:05] We just talked about the Godfather.
[00:28:06] There's two minutes of credits.
[00:28:07] This has 17 minutes of credits because I thought
[00:28:09] I paused it just to see where I was.
[00:28:10] Like, shit, I got a little bit more here.
[00:28:12] And then movie ended.
[00:28:13] Yeah.
[00:28:14] And I was like, oh, fuck this is literally 18 minutes.
[00:28:15] That's why it's not just sitting with Netflix because Netflix
[00:28:17] they have the dubbing credits at the end of the movie's two.
[00:28:20] Yeah, so that it said an hour 47.
[00:28:22] It was an hour 20.
[00:28:24] Not you know really was not long.
[00:28:25] It's a it's a breezy one.
[00:28:27] It was fun.
[00:28:27] It was on Netflix.
[00:28:28] Yeah, it came out June of last year.
[00:28:30] It's not an infamous for best animated feature at The Oscars.
[00:28:31] So yeah, good.
[00:28:33] Good for it.
[00:28:34] Yeah.
[00:28:35] Do you watch anything else?
[00:28:36] It did.
[00:28:38] I did not watch.
[00:28:40] What if though?
[00:28:41] Are you serious?
[00:28:41] I really didn't.
[00:28:42] You can't just keep like bailing on the movies.
[00:28:45] I mean, I'm not trying to, but it did you know a random time.
[00:28:47] So I watched because I watched Naomi today.
[00:28:49] Naomi.
[00:28:50] No, Mona.
[00:28:51] I watched the Mona today.
[00:28:52] Finish it up 15 minutes before the podcast.
[00:28:55] We we assign movies in advance.
[00:28:57] Look, listen, I get it to avoid this.
[00:28:59] But you know, I thought I had more time.
[00:29:00] Starting today at the home show.
[00:29:01] Starting today everyone's turning over a new.
[00:29:03] My mommy and daddy came back from California.
[00:29:05] It's that time with them.
[00:29:06] I had a meeting with Ryan at the arcade.
[00:29:07] It's 10 o'clock at nine or something.
[00:29:09] No, wait.
[00:29:09] Wait.
[00:29:10] Did you get on?
[00:29:11] No one.
[00:29:12] What if like the 2010 film with Kevin Sorbo?
[00:29:16] No, yeah.
[00:29:16] Yeah, I watched it.
[00:29:17] That's what I started playing.
[00:29:18] I was, to be honest.
[00:29:18] It's been on 24th.
[00:29:19] No, I watched it.
[00:29:20] And I was like, I can't believe he's
[00:29:21] even this religious right bullshit.
[00:29:22] And I turned it off.
[00:29:23] It's been 24th.
[00:29:24] The one with Daniel Radcliffe and Zoe.
[00:29:26] Okay.
[00:29:26] Adam Driver.
[00:29:28] No, I mean, I saw the trailer and I really do want to watch it.
[00:29:30] Yeah, it is very good.
[00:29:31] And today we're turning over newly.
[00:29:32] For going to watch our assignments.
[00:29:34] I will be honest with you.
[00:29:35] I did watch six episodes of the second season of Reacher
[00:29:39] and one episode of OARC.
[00:29:40] So I didn't have time.
[00:29:41] I just chose to do so.
[00:29:42] How about that, Reacher though?
[00:29:43] He's a bad guy.
[00:29:44] How about the Reacher?
[00:29:45] Yeah.
[00:29:46] Yeah.
[00:29:46] Watching big beef man.
[00:29:47] I'll give him a return.
[00:29:48] If I go guys, if I back guys in the second season
[00:29:51] where he's baking beefy, the woman's getting
[00:29:55] car jacked or something like that.
[00:29:56] Like the first episode.
[00:29:57] Yeah, the first episode.
[00:29:58] He's just literally just.
[00:30:00] So my favorite thing.
[00:30:01] I would totally do that.
[00:30:02] I would do that.
[00:30:03] That's why I love it.
[00:30:04] It's so outlandish and silly, but it's still kind of grounded.
[00:30:06] He walks up in the second season in like the third episode.
[00:30:09] He kicks the front of a car to make the airbag go off
[00:30:14] and it hits the guy on the face
[00:30:15] and he pulls him out of the car and beats him up.
[00:30:17] And it's like, you can't kick a car.
[00:30:19] Make the airbag go off.
[00:30:20] Oh, I'm sorry.
[00:30:21] What he did.
[00:30:22] Exactly.
[00:30:24] But that's the guy.
[00:30:25] And honestly, I'm watching it.
[00:30:26] And I know that happens to the real world.
[00:30:27] Like that doesn't, you know, you can't do that.
[00:30:29] He kicks it and I'm like, fuck yeah.
[00:30:31] Like I was like, yeah, you get a preacher slash films lead editor Jacob Hall.
[00:30:36] I fucking hate that I love the show.
[00:30:38] I hate that I'm so dumb that I love this.
[00:30:39] Oh, it's so good.
[00:30:40] He reads the Jack Reacher books because they're so like just outlandish.
[00:30:44] Yeah, people love him.
[00:30:45] Like he said in them in what I believe is the most recent one.
[00:30:49] In one of the scenes, what happens is he's waiting one of the most recent books.
[00:30:53] Yeah.
[00:30:54] Okay.
[00:30:54] He is about to get punched and to deflect it.
[00:30:59] He headbutts the fist.
[00:31:01] Yeah, that's I don't understand.
[00:31:03] Honestly, that is not a bad move because the top of your school very, very hard part
[00:31:08] of your body.
[00:31:09] Anybody knows fighting Brad would know that.
[00:31:11] I don't know if that's like the best.
[00:31:13] I don't think that's what's going to do.
[00:31:15] What about like block block?
[00:31:18] Look it up.
[00:31:19] Look up.
[00:31:20] Crab McGon.
[00:31:21] Down block.
[00:31:22] A block.
[00:31:23] Look up.
[00:31:24] Crab McGon.
[00:31:25] Tim McGon's brother.
[00:31:26] He's adopted.
[00:31:28] There is a lot of, and this is a podcast.
[00:31:30] Obviously so you can't see what I'm doing.
[00:31:31] But there's a lot of moves where he punches the guy and like turns around and then uses
[00:31:36] his elbow in an upward manner and like gets him under the chin.
[00:31:40] And it happens so quick.
[00:31:41] I mean, he's going to kill that guy by just an elbow and it looks like he murdered somebody.
[00:31:45] Now, but have you ever been in a bar fight?
[00:31:47] I've never been in a bar fight.
[00:31:53] I've been punched in a bar.
[00:31:56] I've fallen on the floor or bar.
[00:31:58] I've punched a person in a bar.
[00:31:59] I've been punched at a bar, but it never escalated to a fight.
[00:32:03] Did you just walk away?
[00:32:05] A lot of times it was like pretty drunk and somebody was making trouble.
[00:32:10] Someone said that Ben didn't have a yacht.
[00:32:12] You throw one punch and then they go down and then you move away quickly so you don't
[00:32:17] get in trouble.
[00:32:18] Or I get hit and I go down and they run away quickly.
[00:32:21] That happened to me in Florida and Tampa and Ebor City.
[00:32:24] I got punched in the eye and I had a black eye coming home.
[00:32:26] We were in college?
[00:32:27] I was in colleges.
[00:32:29] Have you ever gotten a bar fight?
[00:32:30] No.
[00:32:31] I'm a little baby boy.
[00:32:33] That was that was fighting Ben back in the day.
[00:32:34] I got in multiple fights in college.
[00:32:36] Fightin' Ben!
[00:32:37] It was not as a high school.
[00:32:38] It was as a point.
[00:32:39] I was at Wilson High School.
[00:32:40] I just didn't, didn't mean the testosterone really hit in college and I was very self-important
[00:32:45] who was me.
[00:32:46] And so if anyone had a piece of pumped into me, I was like, I was like, Crow Maggen idiot.
[00:32:49] And I was like, the fuck bro.
[00:32:51] I was that guy for a couple of years.
[00:32:52] You smudge my Adidas sneakers.
[00:32:56] I was on edge.
[00:33:00] You spilled hot sauce on my jacket.
[00:33:02] You spilled hot sauce on it.
[00:33:05] By the way you're working to do like a Christopher walk in here soon.
[00:33:08] Hey!
[00:33:09] You used to spill barbecue sauce on my shoes.
[00:33:11] That's not Christopher walkin'.
[00:33:12] That's the worst.
[00:33:13] No keep it in.
[00:33:14] Hold on.
[00:33:15] That's the worst.
[00:33:16] I wasn't.
[00:33:17] I was like, I see a risk of...
[00:33:18] I used to spill hot sauce on my shoes.
[00:33:20] I had a fucking...
[00:33:21] I got a fucking...
[00:33:22] I got a fucking...
[00:33:23] I got a hot sauce on my shoes now!
[00:33:27] I'm crazy walking.
[00:33:29] I was already on my voice and then they interjected with Christopher walkin'.
[00:33:34] I wasn't trying to do Christopher walkin'.
[00:33:36] Oh!
[00:33:37] Yeah, I had sauce on my shoes.
[00:33:41] And scene, how was that Christopher walkin'?
[00:33:43] That's not pretty good?
[00:33:46] That's his twin brother, Chris walkin'.
[00:33:49] This is what I did to Christopher walkin'.
[00:33:51] Hey!
[00:33:52] What are you doing?
[00:33:53] You fucking spilled cereal in my car.
[00:33:57] So these fucking lucky charms in my trunk.
[00:34:03] Chris, Chris, we're walking trying to get a reservation moved up because he got there early.
[00:34:08] I'm Christopher walkin' here!
[00:34:10] No, don't.
[00:34:11] Oh, why did you do that?
[00:34:12] Yeah, bring it down.
[00:34:13] Well, that was...
[00:34:14] Do you think that I could be a comedian?
[00:34:16] No.
[00:34:17] Be Chris walkin'.
[00:34:18] Chris walkin'?
[00:34:19] Yeah.
[00:34:20] What's that?
[00:34:21] He just let the jacket...
[00:34:23] What the fuck?
[00:34:24] He got a new bed of that, man.
[00:34:26] No, he just comedian.
[00:34:27] The listeners do expect a little bit of room here.
[00:34:28] No, no, that's the whole thing.
[00:34:29] He doesn't do a Christopher walkin' bit.
[00:34:31] He's just like his cool guy named Chris walkin'.
[00:34:34] Chris walkin'.
[00:34:35] Yeah.
[00:34:36] No!
[00:34:37] How about that?
[00:34:38] No!
[00:34:40] And he's being Chris walkin'.
[00:34:42] I'm gonna hop on me in!
[00:34:43] Well, you get some cereal in your tongue.
[00:34:45] What did you say earlier?
[00:34:46] I feel cereal in my cock.
[00:34:48] You still cereal in my cock!
[00:34:50] Chris walkin'.
[00:34:51] It's who I am.
[00:34:52] It's what I do.
[00:34:54] Chris, we're walking is not Italian American.
[00:34:57] I don't believe he is.
[00:34:58] No, don't see that movie.
[00:34:59] I do actually.
[00:35:00] I'm walking here.
[00:35:03] The Chris, we're walking stuff here.
[00:35:04] No, don't make the joke again.
[00:35:05] Come on!
[00:35:06] No, people don't know that already.
[00:35:07] Don't ruin it.
[00:35:08] You gotta come in here with your stupid mustache.
[00:35:11] What else did you watch this?
[00:35:14] That's the only movie I watched this week.
[00:35:16] How do we get on the Chris walkin'?
[00:35:18] I don't care.
[00:35:19] Nate, what did you watch?
[00:35:20] So I only watched two movies.
[00:35:22] The first one is a new film on Netflix called Space Man.
[00:35:26] You guys heard of this film?
[00:35:28] Yes.
[00:35:29] Leo Space Man?
[00:35:30] No, it is a film...
[00:35:32] I'm starting to Adam Sandler, Paul Deino and Carrie Mulligan.
[00:35:36] More of a serious turn again for Mr. Sandler?
[00:35:39] It is.
[00:35:40] But it's strange to be really weird.
[00:35:43] It is...
[00:35:45] You can come back from space!
[00:35:47] I wanted to like this film because I like serious sandals.
[00:35:49] No, he's in Mission Control.
[00:35:51] But you have to understand, I don't like spiders
[00:35:55] and there's a spider in this.
[00:35:57] That's the reason why you're like...
[00:35:58] But the spider talks.
[00:36:00] No, there's...
[00:36:01] Is there a talking spider in this?
[00:36:02] Yes, there's a talking spider.
[00:36:03] Paul Deino is this alien but he hears a spider.
[00:36:05] Oh, yeah.
[00:36:06] Yeah, yeah.
[00:36:07] You can do it!
[00:36:08] You can come back from space!
[00:36:09] It's like...
[00:36:10] It's pretty much Adam Sandler in this talking spider.
[00:36:12] Houston, we have a problem!
[00:36:14] That's what they would do though.
[00:36:16] They're going to put Rob Schneider on one of these movies
[00:36:18] and you're going to be like waiting for him to do some stupid
[00:36:20] but he's going to be serious all the time.
[00:36:21] Wow, that's not what I expect.
[00:36:23] I don't like this.
[00:36:24] It would make me uncomfortable because every time he gets on stage
[00:36:26] I mean, it's going to happen.
[00:36:28] He didn't do the line.
[00:36:29] Okay.
[00:36:30] Okay.
[00:36:31] Fine.
[00:36:32] Making spaces.
[00:36:33] I'm surprised you didn't watch it this week because we...
[00:36:36] Did we talk about the Sun and trailer?
[00:36:37] The Space Fan?
[00:36:38] I don't think so.
[00:36:39] I don't think so.
[00:36:40] I don't know what we did.
[00:36:41] But, um...
[00:36:42] You'll...
[00:36:43] You'll hon...
[00:36:44] Right.
[00:36:45] Though this sort of cannot see what guys do.
[00:36:46] He's wearing a blanket right now and he's doing things
[00:36:48] with his hands under the blanket that I don't like.
[00:36:50] Is it quarrying in my hair?
[00:36:51] It's what?
[00:36:52] quarrying?
[00:36:53] You didn't know the edible buddy.
[00:36:54] Well, I don't need to know that.
[00:36:55] Another one.
[00:36:56] Yeah, well clearly.
[00:36:57] Because this is very strange.
[00:36:58] You have a very tactile thing going on right now.
[00:37:00] I had an edible...
[00:37:01] Yeah, everyone knows.
[00:37:02] Everybody knows.
[00:37:03] No, not everyone knew.
[00:37:04] I'm gonna talk to anybody who's a normal listener,
[00:37:08] a regular listener.
[00:37:09] You've asked him before they got to this point?
[00:37:10] Yeah, but yeah, but yeah, what point did you know?
[00:37:12] What point did you know?
[00:37:13] It's a matter of time.
[00:37:14] And like...
[00:37:15] Yeah, Alex was super high.
[00:37:16] Did you?
[00:37:17] The fucking minute one.
[00:37:18] I knew Chris walking.
[00:37:19] Yeah, exactly.
[00:37:20] Another film I saw was a film directed by Ben Younger.
[00:37:25] Did you like Space Man?
[00:37:26] I didn't.
[00:37:27] Oh.
[00:37:28] I knew he was good.
[00:37:29] I lost interest in it.
[00:37:30] I thought through it though.
[00:37:31] I didn't pause.
[00:37:32] Did you fight for it?
[00:37:34] Also Adam Sandler is doing...
[00:37:38] He's doing a very particular speaking thing when he speaks.
[00:37:44] How many?
[00:37:45] I'm in space.
[00:37:46] Yeah, it is not one of his characters.
[00:37:48] Oh, that would be so terrible.
[00:37:50] Mr. and Control, countdown.
[00:37:52] No, if anything, he's just being kind of like...
[00:37:54] Who's there with that style?
[00:37:55] I don't know.
[00:37:56] That style and like serious...
[00:37:58] And it just didn't work for me.
[00:37:59] But I didn't like it.
[00:38:00] It's not getting a great rating either, but...
[00:38:03] Yeah, I've heard mixed reviews honestly.
[00:38:05] Your space is so beautiful.
[00:38:07] I just hit it with a sledgehammer.
[00:38:09] Punch, trunk love.
[00:38:10] It's good reference.
[00:38:11] Salad.
[00:38:12] Space takes.
[00:38:13] Got it?
[00:38:14] Okay, here we go.
[00:38:15] Another film.
[00:38:16] That was...
[00:38:17] That was given.
[00:38:18] That's my serious Sandler.
[00:38:19] How bad?
[00:38:21] Yeah.
[00:38:23] We did say it was good.
[00:38:25] I don't think you said it was good though.
[00:38:26] You just said something.
[00:38:27] It's just trying to keep moving.
[00:38:28] We just acknowledge it.
[00:38:29] We just want to move on.
[00:38:30] Okay, yeah.
[00:38:31] Alright, I've filmed written it directly by Ben Younger called...
[00:38:33] That's so wait, it wasn't...
[00:38:34] No, but it just broke quick.
[00:38:35] It was fucking...
[00:38:36] Hold on!
[00:38:37] Listen, let's just talk about me for a little bit.
[00:38:39] So it wasn't good enough to be like, wow, that was a good...
[00:38:42] You're just fine.
[00:38:43] Serious Sandler.
[00:38:44] It was fine.
[00:38:45] It was fine.
[00:38:46] Like you've had worse impressions.
[00:38:47] Yeah.
[00:38:48] Okay.
[00:38:49] Alright, no, we're good.
[00:38:50] I can't believe we're still talking about it.
[00:38:51] What's next thing?
[00:38:52] So I watched a film that was given to me by my friend Ben called Boiler Room written
[00:39:03] and directed by Ben Younger.
[00:39:05] It was...
[00:39:06] Did you really watch it?
[00:39:09] I legitimately watched it.
[00:39:11] Oh my god.
[00:39:12] You made this to your movie?
[00:39:14] He told me to watch this.
[00:39:15] No, remember he changed.
[00:39:16] Oh no, what did you...
[00:39:17] It was joking.
[00:39:18] I was...
[00:39:19] It was a joke.
[00:39:20] It was a flippant because he were being such a dick about like...
[00:39:21] Yeah, he gave you a real movie.
[00:39:22] What was you giving me?
[00:39:23] He gave you the game.
[00:39:24] Oh no, I watched the Boiler Room.
[00:39:26] Oh, you...
[00:39:27] And I'm not joking.
[00:39:28] You responded.
[00:39:29] Yeah, like we talked about this.
[00:39:30] You hadn't seen the game.
[00:39:31] I hadn't seen the Boiler Room.
[00:39:32] What are you...
[00:39:33] Hey!
[00:39:34] What are you guys doing?
[00:39:35] Yes, sirs.
[00:39:36] I've heard the podcast.
[00:39:37] Ben didn't watch his movie.
[00:39:38] You watched the movie.
[00:39:39] He was joking about it.
[00:39:40] Alright, here's the thing is.
[00:39:41] What are we doing here guys?
[00:39:42] You know what, Brad?
[00:39:43] Here's a...
[00:39:44] Here's a...
[00:39:45] I'm a...
[00:39:46] I'm a pie on this podcast and I'm the only one who has my shit to give.
[00:39:49] What did you think of?
[00:39:50] I watched the film.
[00:39:51] What did you think of the film?
[00:39:52] What did you think of Boiler Room?
[00:39:53] That was giving me by Ben.
[00:39:54] Fair enough, what did you think of Boiler Room?
[00:39:56] Okay, so I bet...
[00:39:57] Oh my God.
[00:39:58] I bet you watched this in 2000 when we went to college and thought
[00:40:02] I'm going to be one of these freaking bros.
[00:40:04] And I'm going to make millions of dollars.
[00:40:06] This is that cool, right?
[00:40:07] No, that's not cool.
[00:40:08] I'm going to...
[00:40:09] I'm going to slow me a little bit more pointed about this though.
[00:40:11] I'm attacking me right now.
[00:40:12] I'm going to...
[00:40:13] I'm going to get some coke off that table.
[00:40:15] And I'm going to be Giovanna Ruby.
[00:40:17] Even though I just said in college, I like to fight.
[00:40:19] It has nothing to do with the fact that I like Boiler Room.
[00:40:22] You know what?
[00:40:23] It was so interesting to see like Vin Diesel in this role because he's trying to act.
[00:40:28] He's trying to act.
[00:40:30] Nealongs, beautiful, but seeing so many different actors in this.
[00:40:36] I think that's...
[00:40:37] I think I know who that is.
[00:40:39] So let me give you the cast of this film.
[00:40:41] You've got Giovanna Ruby.
[00:40:43] He's the main character of Vin Diesel, Nealong, Scott Khan, Niki Kat.
[00:40:48] What the hell happened to Niki Kat?
[00:40:50] He's dead.
[00:40:52] Is he?
[00:40:53] No, I don't know.
[00:40:54] He wasn't so many things around this time.
[00:40:56] But we talked about this a little bit just with the craft, right?
[00:40:59] Whatever happens to you and they have this like flash in the pan moment for like two or three years.
[00:41:04] They're in everything.
[00:41:06] And then for whatever reason either they probably get too big for their bridges
[00:41:09] and ask for too much money or they are not likeable enough or good people enough.
[00:41:13] Or they just decide I don't like fame and I'm just going to take my money and run.
[00:41:16] Like there's a lot of reasons why people quit.
[00:41:18] Sure.
[00:41:19] Yeah, he's in a timely kill.
[00:41:20] He's in days thinking of views.
[00:41:21] He was in boiler room like...
[00:41:23] I guess he was in the show Monk but like just...
[00:41:27] He seemed to be a pretty big deal for a second and then went nowhere.
[00:41:31] So Scott Khan, Ron Rifkin who's the Giovanna Ruby, he's dad.
[00:41:36] He just does such a good job and everything.
[00:41:38] He's an negotiator.
[00:41:39] You know who else is in there?
[00:41:41] Jamie Kennedy.
[00:41:42] Yes.
[00:41:43] I don't think Nate listens to us when we talk.
[00:41:45] Tom Everett said like, Dave Kennedy and we have a lot of...
[00:41:48] Ben Affleck.
[00:41:49] Ben Affleck.
[00:41:50] Oh my God.
[00:41:51] So I just want you to know the...
[00:41:52] I told this story about Ben Affleck throwing his furricky on the table.
[00:41:56] I just want you to know that our listeners that they're in this film.
[00:41:59] Oh, okay.
[00:42:00] So this...
[00:42:01] I'm back on his side now.
[00:42:03] You're such a fucking wishy-washy fan and boy of me.
[00:42:07] What?
[00:42:08] Be on my side.
[00:42:09] No wishy-washy fan boy of me.
[00:42:11] Either you're on my side or not, okay?
[00:42:13] Pick a side.
[00:42:14] So...
[00:42:15] Pick a side now.
[00:42:17] If you like a film about...
[00:42:20] In Snapchat.
[00:42:21] In Snapchat.
[00:42:22] I was just saying, InSett or Trinidad but it's not really in Snapchat or Trinidad.
[00:42:24] It's pump and dump stocks.
[00:42:25] Yeah, it's a scam.
[00:42:26] It's a scam for Rich Bros making a bunch of money and then somebody being...
[00:42:32] Would you call it Diet Wolf of Wall Street?
[00:42:35] Because that would be the first time that was set on this podcast.
[00:42:38] It is hard to put it in the same place but...
[00:42:41] He doesn't know when we talk.
[00:42:42] Yes.
[00:42:43] Well, I do face out at times.
[00:42:45] We said that last time.
[00:42:46] No, you remember me saying...
[00:42:47] It's Diet Wolf of Wall Street.
[00:42:48] I don't think so too though because...
[00:42:49] No, that's what Brad said last time.
[00:42:51] I'm not even sure I would say it's even Diet Wolf of Wall Street.
[00:42:54] It is though.
[00:42:55] It's literally about Jordan Belfort and Trenton Boat.
[00:42:57] Oh, man.
[00:42:58] They just couldn't use their names or anything.
[00:42:59] I know but...
[00:43:00] It doesn't remember that though because it was a listening.
[00:43:02] I'm just saying this is such a worse film than that.
[00:43:05] Oh, what?
[00:43:06] That's hard to put even in the...
[00:43:08] Oh, this is like a Myerbrand version of that.
[00:43:11] But that's exactly what it is though.
[00:43:13] I think it's the time to be a Myerbrand version.
[00:43:15] It's not as bad as a Transformers to Transformers.
[00:43:18] No, definitely not.
[00:43:19] But this is definitely a just a not about version of.
[00:43:21] But it's not about version of.
[00:43:22] Yeah.
[00:43:23] And made by somebody that isn't as good at it.
[00:43:25] Hasbro.
[00:43:26] Yeah.
[00:43:27] So you like this from the beginning.
[00:43:28] Hey, look.
[00:43:29] Hey, look what a hasbro.
[00:43:31] I'm Christopher Walken over here.
[00:43:33] Yeah, my hasbro buddy.
[00:43:34] Oh, what are you, Jim Gaffer, you know?
[00:43:36] Wow.
[00:43:37] He better not.
[00:43:38] Hey, he better not talk about baking that way.
[00:43:41] Oh, she's in the voice already.
[00:43:42] I thought that he talked about food more than this.
[00:43:44] Hey, John Abrams isn't a sumptuous.
[00:43:47] Who?
[00:43:48] Jeffrey Jacob Abrams.
[00:43:49] John Abrams.
[00:43:50] John Jacob.
[00:43:51] The linersmith.
[00:43:53] That's my name too.
[00:43:55] Never I go out.
[00:43:57] The people always shout.
[00:43:58] They come out.
[00:43:59] Red homin's high as walk to.
[00:44:00] That's a sequel to the first movie.
[00:44:03] Whatever happened to Tom Everest, Scott?
[00:44:05] He is also dead.
[00:44:06] You can't stop saying people are dead.
[00:44:09] I just assume after a while, their families are listening.
[00:44:12] I mean, you've got you've got.
[00:44:14] I guess he was in Lolloland, wasn't he?
[00:44:16] Yeah.
[00:44:17] See?
[00:44:18] He acted five years ago.
[00:44:19] He acted.
[00:44:20] Just feels like he was a big deal for like in the late 90s or
[00:44:23] early 2000s and he's nothing.
[00:44:25] I think there were a lot of people in like the 90s that.
[00:44:27] But what happened to Tom Hardy?
[00:44:28] I know.
[00:44:29] He's not really doing what he's doing these days.
[00:44:31] What happened to these famous days?
[00:44:32] Is that a diet?
[00:44:33] Is that the last movie you watched?
[00:44:35] Yeah, I just watched Space Fan and...
[00:44:38] The Chevin and...
[00:44:40] What movie was this first one?
[00:44:42] The game.
[00:44:43] The game.
[00:44:44] Michael Douglas.
[00:44:45] Way fucking better than Boris.
[00:44:47] I just say because maybe it's fine.
[00:44:49] Yeah, no exactly.
[00:44:50] I gave you a good movie.
[00:44:51] I don't remember there was a joke.
[00:44:53] Yeah, because I literally was just throwing it out there because...
[00:44:56] I feel like sometimes guys...
[00:44:57] I feel like something that Nate gets into a mode when he's at home
[00:45:00] where he's like half paying attention and like doesn't fully register.
[00:45:03] There's a lot of text.
[00:45:04] There this is something to see.
[00:45:06] Meanwhile he sends us these dumb videos that were expected to watch
[00:45:09] and like absorb everything.
[00:45:10] You guys said videos freaking more than me.
[00:45:12] Don't even.
[00:45:13] I'm only sending...
[00:45:14] No, I'm only sending cringy videos because you've ruined my algorithms.
[00:45:17] That's all the kinds of things.
[00:45:18] It's not awesome.
[00:45:19] Every fourth one is like, hey girls.
[00:45:22] Just let me eat that booty and make it drip.
[00:45:25] What the fuck is going on?
[00:45:27] Or just like a guy licking a slips over and over again.
[00:45:31] With like, Pockmark skin in a backwards baseball hat
[00:45:34] and the pale of skinny we've ever seen.
[00:45:36] His hands over his face like shy.
[00:45:39] And he's like,
[00:45:42] and he takes his hands down and he's got like,
[00:45:45] albinism.
[00:45:46] Who like eyebrows?
[00:45:48] What in the absolute fuck is my algorithm?
[00:45:51] And I, literally I sent you know the last text I sent to these boys?
[00:45:54] It was a screenshot of the ghoulsers how to reset your Instagram algorithm
[00:46:00] when your friend fucks you over.
[00:46:03] Any who's old this has been fun.
[00:46:06] Well anyway, like this is right.
[00:46:08] Smash that high button and say hi.
[00:46:11] Everyone's getting a smash button.
[00:46:14] Hey Brad, why don't you see the trailers on today?
[00:46:16] Why?
[00:46:17] Because you're high.
[00:46:18] Why?
[00:46:19] Why?
[00:46:20] Why is the loomies answer?
[00:46:25] Sounds like you're ready to get slicked.
[00:46:29] Come on buddy.
[00:46:31] Come on buddy.
[00:46:32] I haven't spent the entire time thinking about a song to sing though.
[00:46:35] And that's why it's going to be great.
[00:46:37] Is it going to be great?
[00:46:38] It's going to be amazing.
[00:46:40] No.
[00:46:41] I'm really trying to think of a song.
[00:46:46] You like to watch my movie trailers now like a movie trailer spin and round round.
[00:46:53] It's a film real with a movie trailer on it and it spins around at 24 frames per second.
[00:47:01] You know what?
[00:47:02] I will admit you didn't have me until the 20th world prison.
[00:47:05] I guess yeah.
[00:47:06] Totally.
[00:47:07] You totally turned it around.
[00:47:10] It's time to talk about some trailers.
[00:47:14] And we're not going to talk about Garfield.
[00:47:16] We did watch the trailer for Garfield.
[00:47:18] We're not going to talk about Garfield.
[00:47:19] There's a second trailer for the Garfield.
[00:47:20] I think really the thing was.
[00:47:22] I have some thoughts on this.
[00:47:23] We were so overwhelmed with how fun and hilarious this looks.
[00:47:28] I'm ready for-
[00:47:29] We just don't need to talk about it.
[00:47:31] No, I want to see something about this.
[00:47:32] Oh god.
[00:47:33] I do.
[00:47:34] I brought it up just to pass you know.
[00:47:35] Because they're making an editorial decision on Garfield to not make him lazy and-
[00:47:41] Well no, he's lazy.
[00:47:42] He's sarcastic.
[00:47:43] No, not in this.
[00:47:44] No, he's not.
[00:47:45] He's forget going to an adventure.
[00:47:46] There is no Garfield that was going off fucking adventure real quick real quick.
[00:47:49] In the trailer, the word sarcastic and he's lazy is in the words are on the screen.
[00:47:56] You are not lazy if you go on an adventure.
[00:47:58] You can say he's not a good adventure.
[00:48:00] He's reluctant too.
[00:48:02] But he does.
[00:48:04] We weren't going to talk about this.
[00:48:06] Let me just say that.
[00:48:07] He's all like I could do this.
[00:48:10] I could do this.
[00:48:11] The real Garfield would be like no, I'm not going to do it.
[00:48:14] It's like a cat.
[00:48:15] He's trying to impress his father.
[00:48:17] I know but Garfield doesn't want to impress his father.
[00:48:19] I do like that John Arbuckle is watching Garfield eat a full pizza of full lasagna full play this for getting meatballs and there's a to go contender full of lasagna.
[00:48:27] He already is eat one and he looks down.
[00:48:29] He goes you know what?
[00:48:31] I'm going to call you Garfield.
[00:48:32] It's like that why what where is that from well the president famously liked Italian food very clearly and he was assassinated in an office.
[00:48:40] I was okay great.
[00:48:42] I was tremendously expecting you know what?
[00:48:46] I'm going to call you lasagna.
[00:48:48] I just didn't say it.
[00:48:49] I wanted to present.
[00:48:50] It would have been funny if he would have said that in some of the comments that come Garfield exactly.
[00:48:53] I would have let yeah, let's write that movie bread.
[00:48:56] Okay.
[00:48:57] I've got no problems.
[00:48:59] Chris Pratt's voice.
[00:49:00] I don't think it's a good one.
[00:49:01] I think I think that's right.
[00:49:02] Wait wait wait wait.
[00:49:03] I have no problems with Chris S.
[00:49:04] It's not a good one.
[00:49:05] No, I'm just saying that's my issue.
[00:49:06] That is not my issue with this film.
[00:49:09] I will not complain about it just like with Super Mario brothers or whatever.
[00:49:12] I will not get my promise his voice doesn't match Garfield.
[00:49:16] Because he's not because Chris Pat you son of a bitch.
[00:49:20] This is the first time Ben's gone back to the well for a weird chip.
[00:49:24] Yeah because I want to end this fucking conversation.
[00:49:26] Let's move on.
[00:49:27] Oh you're doing this deeper because now we're going to think about Garfield Trump and Lezani.
[00:49:30] Let's move on.
[00:49:31] But Chris Pratt is not cynical and lazy as a character.
[00:49:33] His voice is not cynical and lazy.
[00:49:34] It is.
[00:49:35] Yeah, that's Bill Murray's voice.
[00:49:36] He sounds a little too upbeat but but I don't even think that you need to go back
[00:49:43] to the same Bill Murray sounding voice to do it justice just to be different and it's like
[00:49:47] seem like it matches like the character.
[00:49:49] It'd be cynical and lazy.
[00:49:50] Don't go on adventures.
[00:49:51] Well find me again from the 90s.
[00:49:53] Lorenzo music.
[00:49:54] Is that who it was?
[00:49:55] Yeah.
[00:49:56] Is he dead?
[00:49:57] Lorenzo Lamas.
[00:49:58] I think he is actually.
[00:49:59] I mean probably he was probably 50 when he did the voice back then.
[00:50:02] I don't know.
[00:50:03] But the Garfield movie.
[00:50:04] I can't wait.
[00:50:05] Cool.
[00:50:06] So we also watch this kiddies at cause that's the thing.
[00:50:09] Speaking of this pussy's going to get it.
[00:50:11] What what?
[00:50:12] That's what the tagline is for the Garfield Garfield.
[00:50:15] This pussy's going to get it.
[00:50:17] That's what happens to him when he goes to the Italian restaurant because the mob is there.
[00:50:24] That's why it's called that.
[00:50:25] It's Garfield.
[00:50:26] Anyway, Lorenzo music died in 2001.
[00:50:29] See?
[00:50:30] There you go.
[00:50:31] In this trailer the dog does like copious amounts of cocaine.
[00:50:35] He has a name.
[00:50:36] I know and that Garfield gives him a name because he found his straight.
[00:50:39] Oh, he is.
[00:50:40] And the alley and he's like, oh, D.
[00:50:42] Oh, D.
[00:50:43] And like he wakes up.
[00:50:44] He's like, oh, I guess that's what we call it.
[00:50:45] It's a very weird.
[00:50:46] You know, it's a very weird.
[00:50:48] I can remember.
[00:50:49] I always wanted to be Garfield.
[00:50:53] Speaking of fun voices, we also watched the trailer for bike riders which is a new drama
[00:50:59] starring Tom Hardy and Austin Butler as a gang of motorcyclists.
[00:51:04] It's the bike riders, the bike riders like the bricklayer.
[00:51:09] They're motorcyclists.
[00:51:11] They are motorcycl enthusiasts.
[00:51:13] Yes.
[00:51:14] They are a bike club club.
[00:51:16] You guys should look competition.
[00:51:18] Who does out of the two of you?
[00:51:19] Who does the best Tom Hardy?
[00:51:22] Tom Hardy as an actor or Tom Hardy in character.
[00:51:25] You can make a choice.
[00:51:26] Me, I'm Tom Hardy.
[00:51:27] Oh, we're doing that one.
[00:51:29] It's a good one.
[00:51:30] Do you have a better one?
[00:51:31] No, it's a good one.
[00:51:32] No, I'm Tom Hardy.
[00:51:33] I know it's me, me Eddie Brock.
[00:51:35] I'm just here to do a little bit of journalism.
[00:51:37] That's pretty good.
[00:51:38] That's pretty good.
[00:51:39] Tom Hardy.
[00:51:40] Okay, mumbles.
[00:51:41] Shut the fuck up.
[00:51:42] No, now why would we do that?
[00:51:44] Do you have a different...
[00:51:45] Okay, does anybody have a different one?
[00:51:46] And Eddie.
[00:51:47] He doesn't do the vet.
[00:51:49] I'm pretty good.
[00:51:50] I don't know.
[00:51:51] Dude, do it pretty good.
[00:51:52] Eddie.
[00:51:53] Do you have a different one?
[00:51:55] I can also do the vet but it's not as good as Brad's.
[00:51:58] Eddie.
[00:51:59] Here's the trailer voice.
[00:52:01] Yeah, it's only like coming this summer.
[00:52:04] But Tom Hardy is definitely going to be another choice here in the bike riders trailer because...
[00:52:09] I like it though.
[00:52:10] No, it's natural.
[00:52:11] There's one thing that I actually do love about Tom Hardy is that he's never...
[00:52:15] He's almost never doing his own voice.
[00:52:20] He makes a choice every time.
[00:52:21] You'd have a tough time guessing what Tom Hardy's real voice is after watching any of
[00:52:25] his movies and you would never expect it.
[00:52:27] And I really appreciate that about an actor who goes out of their way to really make every
[00:52:30] character sound unique even if it's just somebody who looks just like him.
[00:52:34] It's crazy though because I do do a very good normal...
[00:52:37] What Tom Hardy really sounds like.
[00:52:40] Hey, it's me Tom Hardy.
[00:52:42] It's been nice to meet you all.
[00:52:44] Thank you so much.
[00:52:46] I really enjoyed working with all of the actors and I want to just tell you right now that...
[00:52:52] Being Tom Hardy is hard.
[00:52:54] It went from being...
[00:52:57] What did you have to say to me?
[00:52:59] It went from being like a little bit of Bobcat Goldway.
[00:53:02] A little bit of P.V. Herman.
[00:53:04] I don't know if that is.
[00:53:05] A little bit of Ernie.
[00:53:07] No.
[00:53:08] It's Eddie.
[00:53:10] And Father Guitars are your two I think.
[00:53:12] No, no.
[00:53:13] You've oranges in your mouth.
[00:53:15] That's what I call it.
[00:53:17] Oh jeez.
[00:53:18] No, the Austin Butler is also not doing his Elvis voice which is great to hear as well.
[00:53:23] Though he's got his Elvis hair because he's got his own hair in the 60s.
[00:53:27] He's got that great.
[00:53:28] Of course he does, baby.
[00:53:29] He just kept saying I'm all shook up which was so weird.
[00:53:31] This is really good though.
[00:53:33] No, it doesn't look like Michael Shannon also looks great in this scene.
[00:53:35] Michael Shannon looks like Roadheart put away where he looks beat up and in the best way.
[00:53:39] What's his face from the Walking Dead looking the same but with a busier beard?
[00:53:43] Is that Norman Reedus?
[00:53:44] Yeah.
[00:53:45] Oh, Shannon even.
[00:53:46] Boy the hallmark is in this.
[00:53:47] Yeah, this is a great cast.
[00:53:48] Yeah.
[00:53:49] It should be pretty good.
[00:53:50] I'm excited to see it.
[00:53:51] I was kind of bummed because I was I tried to see it last year.
[00:53:55] It played at the Chicago Film Festival.
[00:53:59] Did you have a friend that's in this movie?
[00:54:02] I do know a guy that's in this.
[00:54:04] What's his name?
[00:54:05] He's Jordan.
[00:54:06] He's one of the the bike riders.
[00:54:09] Yeah, Jordan's got an interesting story.
[00:54:11] I don't know Jordan all that well but I met Jordan at a restaurant in South Bend and we just
[00:54:17] started talking about movies and I told him about the podcast and.
[00:54:20] Hi Jordan.
[00:54:21] He's a listener.
[00:54:22] Yeah so I like Jordan though.
[00:54:24] We follow each other on Instagram and he seems like a really great dude.
[00:54:28] And so Jordan Mullins if you want to follow Jordan Mullins on Instagram Jordan underscore
[00:54:33] m underscore Mullins he's an actor.
[00:54:38] He is but it was really fun about Jordan is he also has a right yes I have a regular job as well and so he does other things but
[00:54:44] he's kind of making it into some films like this one and he's very excited about it.
[00:54:49] Good.
[00:54:50] I'd love to have him on the podcast sometimes he's in the South Bend area.
[00:54:52] Well, you should invite him.
[00:54:53] Yeah, we are first actual actor that we've ever had on the show.
[00:54:56] I mean other than Tom Hardy.
[00:54:58] I don't know if you know Finn was in a production at the little.
[00:55:01] So Tom Hardy.
[00:55:02] That's true.
[00:55:03] Tom Hardy on quite a few.
[00:55:04] I don't remember having Tom Hardy on.
[00:55:05] He used the 40s time.
[00:55:06] Yeah, I always had to leave the room and then he would be here.
[00:55:07] It was awkward.
[00:55:08] I never met him.
[00:55:09] Brad knows him way better than I do.
[00:55:10] I remember when he came back he was breathing heavily.
[00:55:11] Yeah, like I just run down the stairs.
[00:55:13] Or like down the hall.
[00:55:15] Or four feet away.
[00:55:18] I'm fat.
[00:55:20] The bike riders.
[00:55:22] Yay!
[00:55:23] No it does look good.
[00:55:24] It looks good.
[00:55:25] It comes out on June 21st, 2024 and it is like you said at all the.
[00:55:31] It's kind of in that I think the award circuit kind of like it's making its round.
[00:55:43] The different festival circuit.
[00:55:46] So yeah, it seems to be getting very good ratings.
[00:55:49] Yes, absolutely.
[00:55:51] And I'm looking forward to it.
[00:55:52] So 150%.
[00:55:55] We also watched the trailer for a movie that the first trailer came out with pretty early last year but then he got delayed because of the actor strike and that's what we call challengers.
[00:56:04] And they just recently released a new trailer for that which hits a lot of the same beats as the original trailer.
[00:56:10] I don't think that the music cue is quite so great because of the Rihanna song and the first one is pretty badass.
[00:56:16] I don't know, I feel like the trailer is told a slightly different story.
[00:56:20] The first one included a bit more.
[00:56:22] The first one actually talks about a marriage in the show.
[00:56:25] The second one was intriguing like oh she's fucking two dudes.
[00:56:28] Yeah, because we watched the second one first and then watched the first one.
[00:56:31] It was yeah so Zendaya.
[00:56:33] You see Zendaya?
[00:56:34] It's Zendaya.
[00:56:35] So Zendaya plays a woman that is a tennis pro and gets hurt and then coaches to young gentlemen that are both vying for her affection.
[00:56:44] Clearly, per the first trailer she marries one.
[00:56:47] But in the second trailer you don't know that and you just assume she's flugging them both.
[00:56:51] And in tennis you call that douce.
[00:56:54] I call it love.
[00:56:57] Both tennis players.
[00:56:59] The thing I'm most excited about is Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross do the soundtrack for this.
[00:57:03] Of course.
[00:57:04] So I'm really excited about it because it's going to be so good.
[00:57:07] This is me who's directed by Luke Aquaticino who...
[00:57:09] That is a hard name to say, I'm really proud of you.
[00:57:11] Italian O.
[00:57:13] That's his best Christopher Watton right there.
[00:57:15] Have you seen Call Me By Your Name?
[00:57:18] Ben, I know you haven't.
[00:57:20] I don't remember.
[00:57:22] Timothy Chalamet and Army Hammer.
[00:57:24] Where's he sucks to miss the challenge blood?
[00:57:26] No, I've seen that one.
[00:57:27] Trent, eat his hand.
[00:57:28] You know the thing that sucks is if you haven't seen Call Me By Your Name watching it now will...
[00:57:33] It's really fucking weird.
[00:57:34] Yeah, it'll be kind of weird because...
[00:57:36] Oh, kind of weird?
[00:57:37] Yeah.
[00:57:38] I've heard a lot about it.
[00:57:39] Yeah, this is going to be crazy.
[00:57:40] It's a John's 17 film.
[00:57:41] Yeah.
[00:57:42] It's very good though.
[00:57:43] Timothy Chalamet is fantastic in it.
[00:57:44] It's like coming of age kind of romantic drama.
[00:57:47] Literally.
[00:57:48] And Timothy Chalamet is just tremendous and it's a very good movie.
[00:57:52] But yeah.
[00:57:53] Now that the things with Army Hammer have come out of this kind of weird-ish...
[00:57:57] E.K.
[00:57:58] But when you have a billion dollar what great grandfather?
[00:58:01] You just grab all over the world.
[00:58:02] Do you try to eat people?
[00:58:03] I get it.
[00:58:04] I mean, when you're putting out that much bacon to each year, something you gotta give.
[00:58:07] And it's your will to not eat people.
[00:58:09] That's so dumb.
[00:58:11] What do you guys think?
[00:58:12] You wanna see challengers?
[00:58:13] I don't know, actually.
[00:58:15] That's a theater platform.
[00:58:16] See, I love going into the theaters for movies like this because it's the kind of movie that you think...
[00:58:21] That's taking the floor.
[00:58:22] It's gonna be behind you when you're just excited about it.
[00:58:24] Well, I gotta take the Doom popcorn bucket with me.
[00:58:26] Exactly.
[00:58:27] Why does that three-some scene here?
[00:58:28] Yeah.
[00:58:29] But they don't make movies that are this scintillating or sexy anymore.
[00:58:35] Like, often.
[00:58:36] They've kind of pushed away from it.
[00:58:38] What was the simple favor came out a few years ago?
[00:58:40] Yeah.
[00:58:41] I really like that.
[00:58:42] Yeah, it's a great movie.
[00:58:43] And it's sexual and sensual.
[00:58:44] Yeah.
[00:58:45] But it's also darkly funny.
[00:58:46] Exactly.
[00:58:47] Yeah.
[00:58:48] So this, the trailer kinda reminded me of that a little bit.
[00:58:50] This seems more serious.
[00:58:51] I mean, this doesn't look funny.
[00:58:52] Maybe not more serious.
[00:58:53] It's more like a sexy thriller.
[00:58:54] Yeah, exactly.
[00:58:55] But not...
[00:58:56] It also doesn't...
[00:58:58] It does the sexy thriller thing but the stakes aren't like murder.
[00:59:01] Yeah.
[00:59:02] You know, it's just different.
[00:59:03] It's not the talented Mr. Ripley.
[00:59:04] Yeah.
[00:59:05] Or that I know of from the trailers, right?
[00:59:07] Yeah.
[00:59:08] It just seems like courier sabotage.
[00:59:09] We are gonna...
[00:59:10] Yes, I was gonna say there's some sabotage is the only one.
[00:59:13] But the stakes were very low.
[00:59:14] Or there's very much in their own world.
[00:59:16] Clearly still feelings going on 20 years later for both of them somehow.
[00:59:20] I mean, if it was, you know, Zendaya was gonna come between us.
[00:59:23] I gotta choose Zendaya every day.
[00:59:25] I'll just keep saying her name differently.
[00:59:27] Zendaya.
[00:59:28] I'll just keep saying her name differently.
[00:59:29] Zendaya.
[00:59:30] Zendunya.
[00:59:31] Zendunya later.
[00:59:32] Okay.
[00:59:33] Zendaya.
[00:59:34] Zendaya.
[00:59:35] Fakes through to to to to to to to to to to to to to get tired of everyone on because you said
[00:59:40] do I'm kind of getting tired of everyone be like dude's the best film I ever you should
[00:59:43] go see it everyone.
[00:59:44] I'm gonna see it on Thursday.
[00:59:45] Everyone on Twitter is like it's the best film.
[00:59:47] I'm going with Starkey on Thursday and it's not the best one in the world.
[00:59:51] It's very good though.
[00:59:52] It's it's it's good.
[00:59:53] I want to say our goal.
[00:59:55] Our guy or our goal.
[00:59:56] Our goal.
[00:59:57] I was thinking of it.
[00:59:58] I was thinking of it.
[00:59:59] I was thinking of it tomorrow.
[01:00:00] Tomorrow.
[01:00:01] I'm gonna see our guy.
[01:00:02] I'm gonna see our guy.
[01:00:03] I'll tomorrow.
[01:00:04] I like it.
[01:00:05] I like it.
[01:00:06] I'll come out.
[01:00:07] Our guy.
[01:00:08] I will see it.
[01:00:09] You saw it.
[01:00:10] I did.
[01:00:11] I like it.
[01:00:12] I like it.
[01:00:13] I like it.
[01:00:14] I like it.
[01:00:15] I like it.
[01:00:16] I like it.
[01:00:17] I like it.
[01:00:18] I like it.
[01:00:19] I like it.
[01:00:20] It wasn't.
[01:00:21] It wasn't his best film but I like it.
[01:00:22] Yeah.
[01:00:23] You talked about the podcast.
[01:00:24] Who's best film?
[01:00:25] Oh my god.
[01:00:26] Well, that's it.
[01:00:27] We did it right.
[01:00:28] We're through it.
[01:00:29] We can go.
[01:00:31] Come on.
[01:00:32] Right in the cassir.
[01:00:33] We got you in your fucking gullet, whoa.
[01:00:36] Oh my god.
[01:00:37] You were sulling.
[01:00:38] He stood up lady.
[01:00:39] He's telling me, that was aggressive.
[01:00:40] Yeah.
[01:00:41] You get out of here.
[01:00:42] Okay.
[01:00:43] Get out of this ring.
[01:00:44] You hear me?
[01:00:45] And what do I see around these parts, anymore?
[01:00:47] Is that from a Harry in the headersons?
[01:00:49] No, it's going on.
[01:00:50] Lee, we don't love you.
[01:00:51] No, it's from...
[01:00:52] Chris Watkins in the box.
[01:00:55] Chris Watkins in the box.
[01:00:56] You get out of here.
[01:00:58] We don't need you anymore.
[01:00:59] That's Harry and the Henderson's no hey guys it is
[01:01:03] I have a question for you. Can't you see we don't watch you?
[01:01:06] That's Harry and the headers that's John Lithgow
[01:01:10] Harry and the headersons telling a big foot that he needs to go into the woods
[01:01:16] Niddy listen to this John Lithgow telling a big foot to go into the wood
[01:01:20] That's exactly what you're doing
[01:01:22] He's making up a movie. That's called Harry the Henderson's
[01:01:26] Can't you see we don't watch anymore?
[01:01:28] We don't need you. We don't need you. We don't love you
[01:01:30] Get out of here your Harry son of a bitch
[01:01:33] Well, he might say that it's been a while since the film
[01:01:36] Hey, you were gonna ask a question
[01:01:38] I was but I mean I don't know if I will anymore
[01:01:41] Okay, cool so John candy died 30 years ago today
[01:01:44] All right, and I want to know ending on a sad note that no, no, I want to know who do you think?
[01:01:49] RIP Johnson today, so it obviously Chris Farley. We've had some really big like robust physically big and also larger than life
[01:01:57] Yeah, also physical kind of communities who do you think today would play a good
[01:02:02] Roll that John candy would fit in the the
[01:02:04] John can go is also really lovable the hard part these days
[01:02:08] Sense probably on and I kind of mean this since like the 90s
[01:02:12] It's been very hard to have a leading man be a back guy
[01:02:17] Holly would really did change a bit to like the like Ryan Reynolds is now the funny guy
[01:02:22] You know Ryan Gosling is playing funny. You don't need to be very funny, but they are hilarious and there's no wrong with it
[01:02:29] But they're not doing these yeah, who's the guy that played the bomber that Clint Eastwood directed and he was in
[01:02:37] Oh Paul Walter house. Yeah, I was just gonna say Paul Walter house
[01:02:40] It could maybe if he was he has more character director, but he has the reins though
[01:02:45] He does I feel like he's got a lot of potential in him that has not been realized
[01:02:48] Yeah, he kind of reminds me of a Philip Seymour Hoffman actually really yeah, honestly
[01:02:53] He has tremendous range
[01:02:54] But if I think that if Bobby Moynihan did more work on on screen rather than TV
[01:03:00] That that's the kind of person where you could see
[01:03:03] Nobody's ever gonna be John candy though. I don't think he's had the potential to really prove it
[01:03:08] Dramatically even though I do think that he could but I think Josh get probably
[01:03:12] Yes, oh Josh gets a good one and everything but again
[01:03:15] We we are not seeing those roles. Yeah, you know name the last time you literally saw a buddy comedy with a kind of a bigger guy
[01:03:22] And a straight man like is it because we don't we feel less comfortable this maybe
[01:03:28] It's right question. Yeah that with less comfortable making that then with part of
[01:03:33] Some of it is that but also the oh sorry good not a lot of comedies are getting like
[01:03:38] prominently made so and when they are it's Baywatch with Zach Efron right and the rock who are just nine packs all the way through right
[01:03:46] John Cena and blockers right these are really ripped up people that are now also funny
[01:03:51] And so that's just there's not a lot of room for the big funny fact guy anymore and and to leave an indelible impression on an audience to be
[01:03:59] funny and bigger and
[01:04:01] But also carry the weight
[01:04:03] Of the movie to be there's an emotional core there name me the last time you saw something akin to
[01:04:10] Trains planes and automobiles were John candy
[01:04:13] What playing strange on what I say?
[01:04:16] Plains trains and always that
[01:04:18] That had that emotional and the M track, you know what I'm saying like where he he's like no yeah
[01:04:22] I like me my kids like me or whatever. Yeah, that doesn't happen anymore
[01:04:26] It just doesn't now and I miss it. That's why he is known as a comedian actor, but he was so good at this seriously
[01:04:32] He was amazing. Yeah, there's it's rarely you see that in like especially in mainstream comedies these days
[01:04:37] You know there there was a time when like some of the movies that like Seth Rogen did could do that
[01:04:42] They had a little bit of heart to him, but they were also very funny. Yeah
[01:04:44] Well the long shot has a little bit of but it's more he's more slubby than he is a big fat guy right like it's just not the same
[01:04:52] John candy was a man on an island as far as that level of talent
[01:04:56] But it's also it's it's a it's a different environment too because like these to make movies like Uncle Buck and you know
[01:05:01] And stuff like that and he says they would still make that movie, but it would literally be Ryan Reynolds
[01:05:05] And there would be way different stakes and it would be like the world ending thing instead of like I just got to watch my nieces kids
[01:05:11] Yeah exactly. It's hard to find those mid-level
[01:05:15] Well, let's write one comedy is that aren't high-conscious I can start okay. I'm pet
[01:05:20] Grindrills is can be can the guy have a drinking problem
[01:05:24] Candy okay, he does every day
[01:05:28] Ryan Rills is actually working on a documentary about John candy that's supposed to be coming out relatively soon. Yes, go candy land
[01:05:34] Another Canadian
[01:05:36] Okay, so the oh sorry land of candy I apologize
[01:05:39] Lord Michael's land again tend to whamble a landy
[01:05:43] 10 to 1 military for us, but John Laura Michael's just working hard for years
[01:05:48] To get John candy on SNL like as a cast member
[01:05:51] But he wouldn't do it because he believed it betrayed his time on SCTV. Yeah, I love that
[01:05:56] That's what I believe I respect yeah
[01:05:58] Like and he could have done it and there nobody would have I think
[01:06:01] Not one person in the industry
[01:06:03] But because that's also like you said
[01:06:06] He was known in the industry as being the nicest person
[01:06:09] Yeah, and the most giving and if you went out dinner and there was a bunch of famous people he's paying the bill
[01:06:14] He always did like there are plenty of stories about that where he just and again
[01:06:18] It probably comes from he feels bad. He needs to protect he needs to take care of you just don't really find people
[01:06:24] There's another way in fact so he called Catherine and I heard before he went down to film
[01:06:30] His last film wagons East he filmed it in Mexico. That's where he died
[01:06:34] And he called her beforehand. He said I just I feel weird about this
[01:06:38] I feel like there's something
[01:06:41] That's gonna happen. He told her something bad is gonna happen when he's down there and he died
[01:06:46] Isn't that weird? He was an angel. Didn't that weird though for Catherine and Harold to live with that like
[01:06:52] Together like why John why I don't like what
[01:06:56] Don't know what to do with that right is dying words like
[01:07:00] What is that I don't even know what that is I don't really didn't know sadly Richard Lewis just died too
[01:07:03] And he's also in wagons East yep
[01:07:05] One of the things about
[01:07:07] Since he's passed the clips of him making the rounds. I don't know if you guys saw him on Conan talking about Shaq
[01:07:13] Did you see this? I don't think so. Have you heard about this?
[01:07:16] So he's on Conan and look it up because it's a it's a three-minute clip and it's really funny
[01:07:20] But it's Conan or Brian and Johnny Knoxville was clearly the first guest
[01:07:23] And so he slides over and it's Richard Lewis talking about how he got to go backstage at the Lakers and go into the locker room
[01:07:30] And he talks about how large Shaq's penis is
[01:07:32] And it's just for for a for a small Jewish man Richard Lewis to talk about Shaq's penis
[01:07:37] Yeah, there's a lot of easy jokes there
[01:07:39] But some of those stuff he says like he's like it's a tax deduction
[01:07:46] He's got some other the most clever things and Conan stands up goes back to the fake window
[01:07:50] Johnny Knoxville stands up does a stoutouch stretch
[01:07:54] And he's Richard loses on the edge of his seat still telling this story and I was like we
[01:07:58] He takes his entire time talking about this story rather than
[01:08:02] It's so good because clearly he's there to plug something it doesn't get plugged
[01:08:05] They literally run out of time because Richard Lewis cannot stop talking and I was like I had a tear my I was laughing so hard
[01:08:11] It's such a good thing that I miss that Conan allowed for that people like Jay
[01:08:16] Never never really Jimmy Allen would ever you have to make sure the plug gets in there. Yeah, or like we have to like
[01:08:21] We have to like make him look like we're having fun exactly
[01:08:24] You know like don't just like but tell a story and be funny and hang out right oh my god
[01:08:28] He still is the people would do that on Carson all the time and letterman if you haven't watched any like old school Carson clips
[01:08:33] Oh my god, there's like some of the funniest shit happens just in conversations
[01:08:37] Just two or three people just having fun. Yeah, right and letting the audience in on it
[01:08:41] And so that's what Jimmy found doesn't and they're they're like everything now is like you said
[01:08:45] Well, we got to get to like the build a band thing where we go and play
[01:08:49] And it's like you don't give the chance to have some organic conversations that spins out of control in this hilarious
[01:08:54] In fact they're cool. It's because they have to create content for YouTube for YouTube. Yeah to make money exactly it so
[01:09:01] Talk shows used to be talk shows not fucking circus shows not game shows. Oh wait never mind
[01:09:07] Well, this has been depressing and to go like this
[01:09:10] Like anything else you want to complain about?
[01:09:12] I don't think so I don't like Jimmy Fallon
[01:09:15] I don't dislike Jimmy Fallon but I just think he's too phony on yeah
[01:09:19] I don't dislike him as a person
[01:09:20] I don't like that he's the host of that show because I don't want that to be the show
[01:09:23] Yeah, I don't like the fake laughing stuff that it does but
[01:09:27] That's all I got to complain about
[01:09:30] All right well, uh, you know we played a game last time and I promise I will come up with a game for next episode
[01:09:35] You heard it here first. I hope yours. I mean we're we've got enough time going on here. We're good
[01:09:39] No, I know but like people want games where 110
[01:09:42] Oh, wow people people miss the games. Okay, I want to bring the games back
[01:09:45] I know I know somebody said that but like no somebody said that because the
[01:09:48] So he also said the thinking it like we haven't done this special episode you want to do yeah, I know listen
[01:09:52] I'm a missy. What is the home show? Let's say they give bad attitude and we don't
[01:09:55] Don't know about your job knowing give us a fuck I the home show this weekend. I know no cares
[01:09:59] Don't even know what the home show is at a home show for my original freaking New Zealand. They don't care
[01:10:03] Mitch oh how dare you he knows about the good of business. He cares about it. You know
[01:10:07] He messaged me to ask me specifically how how's business going? No, he did when's the last time you guys did that
[01:10:12] You know what he messaged me and said I will I made Ben think I cared about his business. He laughed
[01:10:16] You messaged me instead he said he said he sent me a video of him laughing and his job became unhinged
[01:10:22] Mitch from New Zealand. Yeah, did that? Oh, Mitch his job became unhinged. Yes. That's how hard he was laughing
[01:10:30] Mitch I hope much. I hope that your jaw is better. I'm sorry that your jaw game unhinged
[01:10:36] He he messaged me and asked if Ben's okay. He's like seriously Ben are you okay? No, I'm not we all know this
[01:10:41] Then he messaged me and he said just kid I don't care
[01:10:47] Well, this has been fun. Brad where can I don't care Nate? I don't also care. Bye everybody. Bye
